Nes Instrumentality Project : An invitation

I didn't see this in the rules, but if I finish researching something, can I start building it that turn, or do I have to wait a turn?

you can begin building it that same turn if you already had at least half the research done before that turn.

does that make any sense?

To Ottoman Empire
From Russian Empire:

We offer the following peace treaty to end the war:

mabe_eace.png

1) Serbia, Bulgaria, Albania, and Romania are no longer vassals of the Ottoman Empire
2) See map for land transfers
3) A state of Armenia will be created from lands currently under Russian occupation .
4) The City of Constantinople itself will be a free city. Its independence will be guaranteed by both the Russian and Ottoman Empires. The rest of the European side of the straits will be under Russian control, as such the straits will be open to Russian ships and neither side can unilaterally declare who can and can not go through the straits.

While the Ottomans are losing their entire European possessions, we remind them that the major areas of Iraq/Levant, Anatolia, and Egypt will remain in ottoman possession. The straits will not be lost to ottoman shipping/naval usage and while Constantinople will no longer be an Ottoman possession, neither will it be Russian.

TO THE FEDERALISTS
FROM CANADA

We are not demanding any lands. We are holding referendums you will notice, NOT annexing the lands like we theoretically COULD do. If they choose to join Canada it does not violate any agreement between us. These are lands we currently hold, and are willing to offer them a chance to join us, if they so desire (OOC: which I truthfully doubt, except vermont. they've always been an 11th province of ours, just as we are the 51st-60th states of yours)

We urge you to sign a true peace with the Southerners and NOT betray them, and to sign a true peace as well with Britain.

To: Russia, the Ottomans, Greece, Serbia, and the Armenians
From: France

We back the proposed treaty.

To Free Spain
From the British Empire

We congratulate the Spanish on their victory and stabilization of their country. Everyone deserves to live in a stable and safe country.

To Persia
From the British Empire

Congratulations for putting the power of government towards bettering the lives of individual Persians. We will be in correspondence shortly, and hope for a long relationship between Persia and Britain that can only bring prosperity.

To Mexico
From the British Empire

You have but one choice to make: continue on a path that will lead to the destruction of your country and the deaths of many of your people, or abdicate now and return to Mexico City to await your trial. No more is there to be an Emperor of Mexico, the people deserve to live in a stable and free environment. Mexico is declared a republic, and Britain and her allies will see to it that she remains so.

Again, surrender now and there shall be no more bloodshed. Don't surrender, and you will bring only needless suffering upon your people.

To Russia and France
From the British Empire

Operation Rebuild Persia should not be considered a British entry into the war. While we still do not agree with your blind and uncalled for aggression against the ancient Ottoman Empire, we have not declared war. The British Empire suggests you leave Persia in our capable hands and be done with it.

And to the eyes of the British, the treaty offered by the Russians is most unfair, stripping the Ottomans of close to a third of their territory and leaving them to be slaves of Russia and France. Britain would be happy to mediate a much more fair treaty, should she be wanted.

To Japan
From the British Empire

Your entry into the American war was surprising, but welcomed. Britain recognizes Japanese sovereignty over Hawaii and Anchorage. Should the federalists not accept Japan's most fair treaty, we look forward to coordinating in the future.

To Argentina
From the British Empire

We congratulate the Argentinians on their successful campaign to rid the Chileans of their oppressive regime, and in installing an economic program in South America that promotes the development of the continent's economies. We look forward to further healthy trade ties with our friends in Buenos Aeries.

To the Three Crowns
From the British Empire

To strengthen our already strong ties, we suggest a defensive pact that would be activated should either of us be attacked by another European power.

TO: Mexico
FROM: The Kingdom of Australia and New Zealand
SUBJECT: Capitulation

We would stronly urge you to respect the people of your nation, and second the British proposition. You will return to Mexico City, and the people of you nation will not be subjected to needless suffering on account of your selfishness. Your Country, along with your regime will end, and the British Lands that you occupy will be returned. So therefore, you have only one option, to abdicate, and end this war, or continue a war on your own soil, and to be annihilated, and your people enduring more hardship and heartache, and their Emperor sacrifies the peoples sons and Daughters for a war that he can end here and now.

The decision is yours, but know this. This Kingdom does not know how to withdraw from a war without winning, and we will not stop that tradition just to spare you. We are at war, and only you can end it, and save your people suffering.

Yours Curtly,

King Edmund Barton

Of the Kingdom of Australia and New Zealand

To: The British Empire
From: Spain

We thank you for your kind words. On a different subject, we are currently looking into the development of airships for civilian and commercial purposes. Would you be so generous as to send some of your technology experts to help us develop our own airships in exchange for [2 PP]?

From: Italy
To: Ottoman Empire

We implore you to accept the treaty offered. We have come to your aid, in hopes of a fair peace. This is fair.

Britain announces the signing of the Treaty of Königsberg effectively pledging British support to the Republic of Prussia and Associated States should she be attacked or invaded by any outside nation or power, besides the German Empire.

The Republic Of Prussia is extremely happy on regards to the new spring of goodwill between our nation and our brother across the North Sea.

We will also deliver on our promises.

Prussia will also side with the British on stating that the peace provided by Russia is rather unfair, surely leading to more conflicts in the future. although we want to once again see peace, we want it to be a permanent fair peace for all.

While not making any definite statements just yet, the Ottoman government must mention that it regretfully disagrees with the Italian statement. The reason for this disagreement is that it is very, very hard for the Ottoman government to understand just how is a peace that involves signing away a state's own capital, amongst other things, in any way fair especially when following such barbaric, unprovoked attacks.

It occurs to the Ottoman government that accepting this treaty as it is would likely set a very, very dangerous precedent that may well have grievous consequences for the world at large.

Italy retracts its demands of the Ottomans, after some deliberation. We will stand by their decision in this matter and continue assistance.

To Britain
From Mexico

Here is our Peace offer

I: I abdictate the throne in favor of my son
II: Mexico will become a Constitutional Monarchy
III: Mexico will give back Belize, and pay 5 pp in reperations

On our end, that will not do. I will wait and consult with the British before any decision is made, but these, to us, are not enough.

To Mexico
From the British Empire

Again, Mexico will become a Republic, your lineage will will break, and you will be put up for trial. Accept absolute surrender or the war continues.

Last chance Germanicus. You can still save most of the US by compromising, or you can get torn to pieces by five different countries. Your choice.

I'm officially entering the game as the Union of Central America.

To: the British Empire, The Kingdom of Australia and New Zealand
From: the Union of Central America

We have a common enemy: Mexico, even unified, Central America has much to fear from Mexico's recent expansion. The Union of Central America would gladly support your invasion of Mexico. With an ally, the war will be much quicker and easier, your early victory was in a large part due to the fact that Mexico didn't expect an attack, if the war continues, it will become much more difficult, as you will be forced to defend against the full Mexican army.

However, even if it surrendered, Mexico would still be a threat to us.

So, In return for our help, we would just like that the inevitable agreement that ends the war hand control of the area from your current holdings to our border, to the Union of Central America, rather then back to Mexico.

By returning them to Mexico, all this war will have done is given you a sworn enemy (Mexico). However, if they are given to us, you will have both weakened your enemy, gained an ally, and strengthened your ally.
