Nesopolis

Je m'excuse, haineux bêtes d'oiseau. Ne pas savoir une grandiose insulte quand vous l'une voyez? :p

Yeah yeah, I haven't read that stuff in years, so sue me. :p

Why speak the language of surrender monkeys?

Because I learned it in school, from friends, and because it's Canada's second official language.

I suppose...

Oh well that just makes Canada half a surrender monkey :p

EDIT: Nevermind, not a surrender. Just a defeat

Everyone's had defeats. The Battle of Hong Kong ended in a surrender for Canada and Britain, but it was an untenable situation.

East Timor lost at some point in the past, or else it wouldn't have had to struggle for its independence.

And the Vatican isn't really a country in the traditional sense. But this is all semantics.

It wasn't its own country yet at that point, was it?
It was in at least 1084 and 1527, and probably in 846. And those are just the sacks of Rome: The Papal States were involved in many more wars in the Renaissance. See [wiki=Pope_Alexander_VI]Pope Alexander VI[/wiki] for some particularly prolific examples.

Ah not to mention the fact that it did cease being an independent nation for some time during the late nineteenth and early twentith centuries.

I would also like to mention that Israel has NEVER lost a war. The worst they have had is undecided.

1948, 1956, 1967, 1968-70, 1973, 1978, 1982, ...

proof that they havent lost a war: If they did, can ANYONE tell me that there still would be one... anyone?

didnt think so.

Hasn't this gone a bit too far off topic?

Define Israel. If you mean the modern state, yes, but that's not what we were talking about with East Timor and the Vatican. If not, than Israel lost wars plenty of times (to Babylon, Rome, etc...)
