We know that there are 13 new buildings in G&K. If I had to distribute that number, I would suppose, that...

  • 3-5 Civs will receive one Unique Building (most will have two UU, some will have a UI)
  • 1-2 new culture buildings, as Temples and Monasteries will be moved towards Faith Buildings.
  • 1-2 new faith buildings (Cathedral, National Wonder). Even if they alter the names depending on the religion, they don't count as 11 separate ones, as else the number will be much too low.
  • 1-4 espionage like buildings from the Renaissance onwards (Embassy, Jail, Police Station, Intelligence Agency) or moved around.

This count conveniently puts me up to 6-13 new buildings. I am still missing elementary buildings like the Airport. Although that might be introduced as an Tile Improvment in line with CivV's Tendency to put as much on the map as possible (Great People's Improvments are also on the map). There also can be Supermarkets/Malls, Trainstation, City Hall, etc. ...

What's your prediciton list?

I pretty much agree with everything you wrote. I'd also like to add that I really hope there'll be more specialist buildings and more buildings suitable for city specialization.

Civ 3 had airbases as tile improvements where you could station planes, so their range isn't so dependant on your city plaecment and carriers. It might be possible tehy'll return and be counted as 'buildings'. I agree with temples and monastries. Security Bureaus and Inteligence agencies are also very llikely.

Historically, almost every expansion pack going back from when I can first remember (Civ3: Conquests) included civ-specific things in their count of new things (i.e., when they listed new units in C3C, that included unique units). Likewise, I'm pretty sure BtS did the same thing.

Really? hmm...must have missed it.
