New Civ III Editor Update!

Indeed. That looks to be the same as the one Brad had posted here before, and this is just the final release, or something like that. It seems to have all the same changes as the last one that we got.

Right I came back here after I checked the date on the file and found March 5th again, but a different time. The last one was shown as 1.32.1 b5 and this one as just 1.32.1. What's up, Brad?

Edit: I just checked the Westlake site and they say 3/17/03 here:

The one mentioned today is the same one I posted about a few weeks back. It's the final 1.32.1 release that's on the GOTY CD. If you grabbed it when I posted about it in this forum, you're up-to-date.

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking, but it doesn't *not* benefit from them. ;)

I think he means that "officially," 1.21 editor did not include the Add/Remove buttons, but adding them is a user-decided feature. So download that NIB :-).

The two features I've been missing are:

1 - minimap
2 - assigning a specific civ to player start locations

Are those in the works or have I not looked in the right place?

Well i suppose i could look into a building a minimap display of sorts (it'd be a seperate app), the BIC file is not terribly difficult to parse... Time is the key issue here, perhaps after I finish my papers I can look into that... The start location thing.. there was a PC utility that was supposed to do something with that, i'll look around.

Having some trouble with this. When I unstuff the file, it creates two files, an app and a rtf file. The rtf file lists enhancements to the editor, but gives no installation instructions. Were these included with a previous release? Grateful if someone could point me in the right direction
(Running os 9.2.1 and Civ 3 1.21g)

You need to put the App in the same folder than Civilization application. However, it will run only under X... No MacOS 9 version is planned as far as I know...
