[R&F] New civ on the horizon! Abilities?

Mapuche it is!

Hopefully the Inca and the Polynesians will come later. :)

The Inca are definitely coming to Civ6 later. ;) Not sure about a blob Polynesian Civ, but Hawaii or the Maori seem like plausible replacements.

Possible UUs:

Warrior replacement with "clava" club, a weapon unique to the Mapuche

Medic/Guru replacement with "Machi," Mapuche shaman/healers who have been reported on lately due to their gender-fluidity

Great General replacement with "Toqui," which would possibly allow units to gain experience faster or get science on kill due to the rapid warfare advancements Mapuche Toqui made when fighting the Spanish

Horseman replacement. This is really the first that comes to mind for me. May it be ancient or Renaissance...

As somebody else said, an espionage boost would fit Lautaro like a glove. It's a shame that Genghis already took the extra combat edge for visibility level.

Maybe eurekas for enemy techs in wartime? A dark age boost to military units? Tech theft boost for spies? So many options.

I hope those disappointed with the Inca not showing up in R&F will cheer up when they are finally added....

Even if the Inca is the most famous Pre-Columbian South American "Civ" (largely due to being there when the Spanish arrived *, imagine if literate people encountered the Tiwanaku/Wari....), there's room for another one like the Mapuche.

*plus having the largest land empire in South America, among other things

Inca DLC with a scenario featuring the Mapuche would be cool. After researching them they seem like the best option for another Indigenous SA tribe other than the Muisca, which might be hard to pull off.
