Firaxis games aside with blizzard entertainment, thats correct Blizzard, known for such games as "Starcraft" or "Diablo" has yesterday officially announced a release of the new civilization game. Unlike the other civilization's done so far this one will be 100% historically based, with 8 scenario's and a fully playable "random game mode".

The New CivEdit, is very similiar to the one presented in Civilization III, aside off it you will also see some minor upgrades, first of all the game will allow "Events", the modders will finally be able to alter certain situations, JUST IMAGINE!

AND MORE MORE to COME!

Explore the Wonderful new world of civilization with;
Civilization 5: The Order of Unit for PC!

Hope it will be good, it was announced today, at various press magazines.

If it's more Civ3 than CivIV... I'm looking forward to it.
Seems like they're making a whole new game.

Oh come on, at least come up with something more creative and original than a small modification to the civ-BioShock story.

Nice try. :rolleyes:

European must have confused it with "Stargate Civ", which is currently under development, although I must confess I would have expected quite different civs from the ones he quotes.

On April 1, always take anything and everything you see with a grain of salt. I'll see it when I believe it. Wait a week, and if it still stands, then believe it.

Source? Nothing Civilization-related came up on Google news when I searched Civilization, which makes it even fishier than it already was sans source.

I like the historical aspect though, I thought BTS was a bit too non-realistic in its scenarios.
