When the Trans-India Railway was first constructed, the Bombay-Calcutta line was advertised in England as the final great link crossing India. However, there was a section which wasn't completed.
Question is, in this time, from Bombay to Calcutta, where did the railway stop and where did is start again?
 
Whampoa for the KMT was its first military academy where the first (and successive) batch of military officers were trained, Western-styled. No idea about actual quality. It was first set up somewhere in Guangdong province, in the 20s. Today, it's in Taiwan.

Chiang Kaishek was its first commandant, which enabled him to forge a politico-military network (fr the graduates) to control the KMT later on.

How many councils were there in ancient Roman Republic? Note this is a tricky one :).
