It's an out there theory, but I can entertain it. The emphasis they seem to be putting on FULL DETAILS could mean that there's something they haven't told us yet.
Maybe they will mention that the countermeasures to the deluxe version of Age of Empires 1-3 will be a deluxe version of cIV with all new graphics.

Not sure about that far in the past; but didn't Civ3 or Civ4 have wild animals in the place of barbarians in the ancient era? I wouldn't mind that returning to make Barbs a bit easier to deal with on turn 1.
cIV had wild animals. Black panthers, tigers and Bears. Oh my!
Just for the first 50 turns and they couldn’t enter territory you controlled, IIRC.

No Civ/Leader reveal this week?

I see a ship's mast or is it a Christian cross?
Do we have pictures of Magnus' in which we can zoom in on his eyes? Maybe the reflection is always there?

The highest-res I found is from the YouTube video of the last stream, and it looks like the reflection might be there? Too small to tell for sure.
As for the reflection, it looks to me like sky, some kind of foliage, and either pillars or masts.
