I opt for 1.14f as everyone can use that, and GOTM is still 1.14f, etc.

Ok, here's how to get back to 1.14f:

This is for windows XP. For earlier windows, go into "my computer" and then control panels.

First I hit "start"
Next I hit "Control Panel"
Then I click "Add/Remove Programs"
After that, I select "Civilation III 1.21f"
To finish it off, I select "change/remove"
Once 1.21f is gone, I reinstall 1.14f

Me too, but I got another PBEM and a succession game that must be 1.14, thanks to the other players PBEM games and the GOTM.

Yeah, when setting up PBEM it uses the settings FROM THE LAST GAME. So pick the settings, and then open a game, then quit and remake the game again.
