Today another interesting indie game has been released: Pax Augusta.
This seems to be a city builder set in ancient Rome, similar to older games like the Caesar series.
As usual, you need to build housing to finally erect big monuments. You can also trade with your neighbours, as story mode exists, but also a free building mode.
The game is currently discounted, for 19.99 instead of 24.99.

Lately I’m getting back into city builder games with the release of titles like Tlatoani and Nebuchadnezzar. I still have the old impressions games like Zeus and pharaoh, and can pull those up to play now and then. I also still play missions in Tropico 3 which was the peak of that series. Frostpunk also sees some play now and then, but haven’t tried Frostpunk 2.

For people looking for something different in the city building genre can’t say enough good things about Timberborn.
