New Land Office Manager needed.

I just sent a Private message to someone because we were having a debate. It was real fun and convienient.

In the meanwhile, are the nominations to continue?

The nominations should be over and an election poll should be posted.

Egad, miss a day....miss alot.

I have been staring at this thread for the last week, waiting for activity and then today......WOW :crazyeye:
Please know that I am as surprised as anyone about the day's decision. I had assumed there would be a vote as well. As I don't want to cause a rift, I would ask that there be a vote of some sort. RPG managers or RPG populace, check the rules and let me know. My only interest is to earn my keep in this community.

Also, Octavian....please read my post. There is direct apology to you in the text of my application.

You know..... I am almost afraid to ask what you guys thought of some of the new ideas I presented in my application... ;)

Only part of that ruleset was accepted.... The part about the character stats and the stuff from the the last rule set, but you did not take all of the rules and put them into one thread.... You added some stuff that was not accepted as a rule.
Link to acceptance poll for overall RPG rules.

Applicable RULES section:

POSITIONS
Game Manager: The Game Manager is responsible for the overall flow of the RPG game. He can take over the duties of any other manager at times of need (manager absent or manager is personally involved in a transaction).

Bank Manager: Responsible for running the Bank, recording transactions, tracking loans and loan repayment, etc.

Item Manager: Responsible for keeping official track of what items each player has.

Price Manager: Responsible for keeping the official price lists and checking that private businesses are figuring costs correctly when selling an item that is on the official list. Responsible for Official stores.

Each manager may hire as many assistants as required to handle their responsibilities. The 4 managers together may create or alter rules. A 3/4 majority is required to do so.

Managers are elected and serve and indeterminate length of time. A manager may be removed from office through a vote of no confidence. This is an open poll and requires a 2/3 majority to oust a manager.

Not really. The rules are cut and dried. Donovan Zoi is the Land Office Manager as appointed by the Price Manager. The Game Manager, Prince Manager and Item Manager together can change these rules but that does not change the fact that Donovan is already in this position, properly placed by the manager with authority over it.

There are other jobs open right now for people who want them.

as this was an official job there should have been a poll

i appointed stuck and strider as sub manager giving them responsibilities the same as mine if i am not in the forums which means that they could have forced a poll however sub manager doesnt overrule pricemanager soyy guys but price manager is an elected job which means it has more power so next time instead of having a go at each other about the rules calm down for 5 mins then post.

So let me check if I got this right.... We have the same power as you when you are not in the forums, but when you are we are at the bottom of the power ladder?

@Shaitan - Hey when did we princes get a manager?

There has never been a poll for any job in the RPG except for the 4 RPG Managers. Just as there was no poll for sub-managers, there is no poll needed for this position.

But we have never needed a poll before. All other times it was only one person running.

ok. so donsig- post a poll.

There is no need to poll for this position. Someone has already posted the relevant rules in this thread. The land office is under the authority of the price manager since it is a psuedo-official (if not just plain official) store. The rules say that managers can hire as many assistants as need be. This thread was for applications not nominations. Application/hire goes together just as nominate/elect go together. There were applications and I hired the appplicant with the best posted map.

As I said earlier, please report to Shaitan for training, DZ.

Donsig.... BCLG said to post a poll over it.... So I will suggest you do.

BCLG100 was incorrect with that statement. He does not have jurisdiction in this matter. Instead of going back and forth in this thread, I suggest whoever has a problem with donsig hiring Donovan, or the manner in which he did so, consult the rules and try to find anything that would support your position.

I'd probably better weigh in now:D

As I see it, donsig has every right to simply appoint a new Land Office manager. It is legal for him to chose someone without approval. However, I also think it would be prudent for donsig to post a poll, just to get the opinion of the citizenry. Perhaps they think someone else could do better

@DZ: Sorry I missed that note. My apoligies.
