New Let's Plays

His third city with 1 pop finishes Clinic, but his health only goes up by 1, from -3 to -2. (Clinic had quest bonus so it is +2 health) Then third city grows to 2 pop, his health stays at -2.
Later around 52:40, third city completes Pharmalab with 2 pop and the health is unchanged.

Well pop is only 0.75 unhealth on stuff we've seen, but I was hoping they had gotten rid of the global/local health divide :(

It's extra confusing. (And if they just copied the local health=< local pop ..instead of local health=< local pop unhealth, then it leads to all sorts of wierdness)
It does make Community Medicine better though.

Some things pulled out of the German ARC (in the first hour)
Bioengineering:
Building ??? 470 cost, 1 maint, uses 2 Firaxite, Requires Supremacy 8, Prod +2 +15%
Building ??? 390 cost, 1 maint, Requires Harmony 8, Food +5
Wonder ??? 1050 cost, Energy +7, +2 Energy from generators

Biometallurgy:
+1 Science Generators
+1 Energy Mines

Augmentation:
Wonder Deadalus Ladder: 1550 cost, uses 2 Geothermal, Food+2 Health +3 (it seems some of the late game wonders don't have all their effects in yet?)

Miasmic condenser Orbital
90 cost, 3 Petroleum 1 Xenomass, 10 turn duration, range 2

Xeno Swarm only costs 120 prod

From the german video:
Carriers indeed have only one upgrade, at affinity level 10. Around 3:15:40

It's extra confusing. (And if they just copied the local health=< local pop ..instead of local health=< local pop unhealth, then it leads to all sorts of wierdness)
There was some policy that reduced unhappiness per pop, but still you could got up to pop # of local health. It would be same in BE. (Which means net 0.25 health gained per pop if you maxed local health)

German ARC LP 2:58:30

Promethean (Wonder)
950 production
+2 culture
+4 health
a free virtue

Around 3:08:00
He captures a PAC city. Annexation says -9 health but he only suffers -4 from it. (maybe because it's 1 pop city so additional unhealthiness turns were 0)

3:14:54 - Rocket Battery quest. Someone read this please lol
(+5 city strength or +1 anti-orbital strike range? Am I right?)

It continues to amaze me how bad some of these videos are.

His start should have came with a hint: Tundra start, tech Organics for the Mass Digester!

Don't like it. I mean it's a good wonder, but Deep Memory is already the free virtue wonder.

Awesome! AWESOME! AWESOME!!!!

Watching just a few moments you recognize how much better he does it than anyone else so far...

True, but I do have to question the wisdom of his explorer spam. He should have taken field research ot built some military.

He's got me ready to try some explorer spamming, situation permitting of course.

He definitely spammed explorers more than I would have. It did work well for him since he was able to get a lot of resource pod bonuses and excavation bonuses. He also uncovered an impressive amount of the map which will allow him to easily place his future cities in the best spots. But I think it only worked because his neighbors were far enough away as to not present any military danger. He has got a very solid industrial foundation now with which to crank out a military pretty quickly (and he took some quests that will further boost military production). He will be able to catch up military pretty easily. But the strategy does seem risky because if the AI had been closer, he could have faced an invasion before he was ready to defend himself. In civ5, it happened to me a couple times (before I learned my lesson) that I would focus too much on infrastructure and neglect my military and get crushed as a result. So now, I am a little paranoid about it. So, I tend to build several military units early just to make sure I am not defenseless if the AI DoW's me early.

So, simply killing stations gives you resources. Mad Djinn just got 40 energy credits and beakers for trashing a station.
