12 Townies vs. 4 Mafia. The Townies are equipped with one of twelve mystical Talisman, each giving a unique ability to whoever possesses it. There are no neutral characters.

Anyway, the earliest I'd be ready to launch is the 20th, so I can open sign-ups as soon as Verarde's game ends.


Short List of Special Rules
  • Every day there will be a lynch. However, you can vote No Lynch in two situations: during the very first Day Phase, or when there are only four people left in the game during a Day Phase
  • Once per phase*, you can vote in Orange to give any Talisman from a killed player to someone else. Typicaly, a Talisman will be up for voting during each Phase. Only one Talisman can be assigned each phase. *Subject to change if this proves unreasonable.
  • You may have guessed by now that this game could be somewhat time-demanding. I will replace/WOG any player who misses three consecutive phases. This game doesn't have to be hosted now or ever! If it is I'd like it to be done as the best it can be.
  • The Rat Talisman is special; it is far more useful in the hands of the Mafia than in the hands of Town.
  • The Dead in this game are NOT permanently dead until I give you the QT link. Do NOT share any information until then and NEVER post lynch suggestions or commentary after you die.
  • Just bold a name to vote, but use Unvote:Player when you're changing you're vote to save me some headache.
  • ~Active Lynch Tally and Voting History are on Post 2; Rules, Player List, and Update links are in the first post.
  • Absolutely no editing posts, save for small ninjaedits. This is a postcount-less forum, you really could just make a new post if you made a typo and you've waited too long to fix it...

I was going by the two Small Game situation we've had recently, but I didn't forget your game. I forgot about Skwink's game. :p
 
The Two Small Games thing is just because of what happened with Zack's game being delayed a few weeks. We should probably stick to one.

Vault 11 is a bomb shelter built to save the inhabitants of the United States against a nuclear holocaust, or were they? You're split into small factions vying for survival while elections take place for the overseer of the vault. Once his term is up, he or she must sacrifice themselves into the sacrificial chamber. The twist to the sacrificial chamber is that it will accept a certain number of criminals that the main computer knows and let's the people of the vault free.

Draft Rules:

When you post to join the game, PM me two numbers like this: (X,Y) with each being one of the numbers 1-5.

Do not post your numbers in the thread. PM them to me.


The X number closest to 1 that no one else picks gets to go first in the role draft. The Y number is for tiebreakers.

Example draft:

Player 1: 4,5
Player 2: 1,4
Player 3: 3,5
Player 4: 1,3
Player 5: 1,4
Player 6: 5,4
Player 7: 5,5

The draft order would be:
Player 3
Player 1
Player 6
Player 7
Player 4
Players 2/5 based on random (because their Y numbers are the same).

The reason that order is the way it is (and this is how this one works as well) is that the numbers that are picked only once (X) go first, then the ones that are doubled (X), THEN the ones that are tripled (X).

Once the order is done, the draft order will be posted in the thread and you will then attempt to pick a power role. PM me the role that you want (roles can be chosen from the list below). If someone above you in the draft order has picked that role you will be vanilla. YOU MUST NOT COORDINATE WITH EACH OTHER ABOUT YOUR PICKS DURING THIS STAGE (e.g. you can't PM the players in front of you and say 'hey, I'm picking cop, so none of you pick that'). In particular, the mafia will not be allowed to coordinate (they will not know each other until after they choose). The mafia can both kill and use their drafted power.

The roles:
Cop
Each night you may target a player. If successful, you will get a result of town or mafia.
Doctor
Each night you may target a player. If successful, you will prevent any and all kill attempts on that player. You may NOT target yourself.
Bulletproof
You are bulletproof. You are immune to night kills.
Bodyguard
Each night you may target a player. If successful, any and all kill attempts will be redirected to you.
NOTE: If a Bodyguard protects a Doctor and the Doctor protects the Bodyguard, the Bodyguard will be safe from attacks unless the Doctor is attacked, in which case it will die.
Roleblocker
Each night you may target a player. If successful, that target will not be able to use any night abilities.
Tracker
Each night you may target a player. If successful, you will see all players that player targeted that night.
Jailkeeper
Each night you may target a player. If successful, that target will not be able to use any night abilities.
NOTE: The roleblocker's roleblock will be given priority over the Jailkeeper's. So that means that if a Roleblocker and a Jailkeeper both target each other then the Roleblocker will not be protected by the Jailkeeper's protection, and the Jailkeeper will be notified that it has been blocked.
One-Shot Governor
Once during the game, during the day, you may PM me to stop a lynch.
Vengeful Lynchee
If you are lynched you may, at any time during the next two phases (i.e. the next night and day), post "Kill: X" (where X was on the wagon that lynched you). That person will then die at the beginning of the next phase.
Rolecop
Each night you may target a player. If successful, you will see what role they have but not their alignment.
Bus Driver
Switch two players for the night (If X and Y are switched, and X is targeted by mafia, Y dies instead. Works for any ability, not just kills)
Doublevoter
Your vote counts as two in the lynch.
Tiebreaker
Your vote can break ties in the lynch.

The mafia get one kill, in addition to their powers.

Other, more standard rules:
  • The day phase will be 48 hours long. The night phase will be 24 hours long.
  • During the day, vote for who you believe to be guilty by bolding their name (e.g. Catharsis is suspicious). You can change your vote as many times as you like. Abstain is allowed, but 'no lynch' is not. Also, if you have a day ability, you may use it.
  • During the night, the mafia should send me the name of the person they wish to kill, and anyone with night abilities can use them. Talking in the public thread is allowed during the night.
  • Private communication is allowed, but do not quote any PMs you receive from me (either in private or public), especially your role PM. Revealing what is on your role PM is allowed, but no direct quotes please.
  • If you're dead, you can still indicate who you believe to be innocent or mafia, but please don't reveal anything that wasn't already publicly known (e.g. your role, or the results of your night activities). Alignment is revealed upon death, but role is not.

Hey, that was what you were gonna call the Highway to Hell sequel right? If that's what it is, I can't wait! :D

Also, please change my Clue game's name to "Across the Sea". The Noir game sounded interesting at first, but I want to do Across the Sea instead.
 
Queue updated. I changed the name (and whole concept really) of one of my games on the queue. Basically it is Pick Your Poison with more players and slightly different rules, hence the name Pick Your Poison++.
