where are the specialist buffs?
affinity quests still broken [after turn 100]?
sponsor balance?
game flow balance?

wonders' rebalance is sorta weird. some became op, while some are still worthless.

op - Drone Sphere, New Terran Myth, Bytegeist, Deep Memory
worthless - Xenomalleum, Tectonic Anvil, Crawler, Xenonova (!!)

the devs should do something about the flow of the game. imo pressing end turn from the midgame to research queued affinity xp techs is pathetic gameplay.

add affinity xp to specs and/or to tile improvements!

And a perfect example of a trend to see a game as having a audience of one. Me and me alone, and don't you dare try an address anyone else's needs. Also, I don't want to say it's slightly racist in this case, but I'll guess I'll just assume that after an entirely negative post, the last sentence was sincere and not sarcastic.:goodjob:

I think Hail makes very valid points.
There are serious imbalance issues in the game right now, such as the African Union, this patch does not address and I am a bit disappointed. Maybe the wonder people were yelling the loudest here but

The trade routes continue to be an issue. They seem to need a lot of time investment for very little gain. Having them automated is a bit of a cop out I think.
Yes I will welcome the feature because of my playstyle but I rather have more meaningful changes

Moreover, as Hail says the game seems rather unplayable for those who go for fastest victory (the optimal players) and little seems to be done to address that. Maybe the AI being more willing to attack victory wonders will help some. At least I hope that will be the case here.

I look forward to the patch of course but more are needed.
 
They can't take on everything at once, and everything takes longer than you think. If they fixed other parts of the game, people would be howling about wonders. My only hope is that they continue doing patches after this, and my hope is that the next item on the menu is victory conditions.

I'm still cautiously optimistic that this patch may include something about victory, as it is about wonders and 4/5 victories use wonders...
 
Well:

- General cost pass on all Wonders
Maybe victory wonders can now be built in 3 turns instead of 7-8. :D

you only have to build one wonder to win, the final one for your victory, no other wonder is EVER needed. A wonder does not even speed up a win time. Wonders are useless, as implemented in BE.
 
I don't think you can even win on Sioux or higher without building at least 9 wonders. If New Terran Myth is taken by an AI you pretty much already lost. Or if not, then you will not win before turn 320 or something, which is 10 turn later than one should win.

Of course he does, but he deliberately passes over absolutely everything that they have fixed in his post and that is why people will post in response to his post. Not because we disagree that these are valid points. Hail has issues with the developers' list of priorities. While we agree that all these things need fixing, as well as the AU imbalance, we will not agree on what should get fixed first.

Anyway, I've added him to my Ignore list as I'm not convinced that his reasons for posting here are entirely genuine and I'm not wasting any more of my time with him. ;)

I win on apollo, around turn 230 to 250 without building any wonders, except for the final one required to win. If you don't win by turn 250 the AI will on apollo.

I assumed so but tone is text is hard to read, but it kinda ruins it if you have to end a post with "<wink> <wink> just kidding."
I had you on my ignore list for a while, possibly because you said something crazy, but not so crazy to not think you couldn't be serious.
The need for a sarcasm font is oft spoken of. I think bold and italic text possibly with an imoji would do to convey exaggeration and stilted speech.

But where's the fun in that? The interesting part is the "What? That can't be serious... or... can it? Naaah. No waaaay. Right?"-part. Although I even tried to limit that by mentioning the New Terran Myth as a "must-have wonder". I assumed that would be a rather clear indicator of me not being serious.
 
May not be that many additions to the buildings database. Wonders, quest rewards, and I think virtues can all use the playerperks xml. So many of the could be there.
I've thought it would be good for modders to have a centralized bonus system that could apply something from one system to another. Like a wonder's affect could become a faction ability etc. The playerperks xml seems to be half way there.
