I only had enough time to quickly check over the game pre work. Might be a little slow this first turn, as mack offered a peace proposal. Will see what happens there before I can play the entire turn, I should be able to play for most of the rest of the timer though so no shouldn't hold the game up.
Thanks for offering 1889, what's the deal with us looking for a permanent replacement? If mackoti definitely cannot play for the whole game, then if someone is willing to take that commitment then I think the sooner the better. I don't know what others will think there.
Its just that I was going to be away from the computer from Dec 6th through the 22nd. The plan is that I will replace Mackoti when I get back, although Mackoti is certainly free to stay longer if he likes.
That's cool, if you guys hammer it out between you when to swap over etc it's all good.
As a note we are talking back and forth, so I have had to pause the game. Should be able to get it back going shortly, in about 6-12 hours. Sorry for the delay guys.
Wow. Now Sumeria is threatening me with their conveniently expelled SoD.
I take it two people controlling one civ is alright? I am busy as a bee in real life and could really use someone taking over for me on the days I can't make it. There is precedent for this sort of thing after all.
Yes, sure - two people playing one civ is totally OK, especially when you need someone to cover you when you are on vacation or something else which mess with you playing turns temporary. But even if no such events, it is way more fun to have someone to talk about the game and exchange impressions, ideas and thoughts and so on. So in bottom line, having a partner is highly encouraged.
You can ask 1889. Or Luthor. He said playing each and every day is not for him, but 2-3 turns a week maybe? How much of an involvement you are having in mind actually?
