The U.S. wonders why British Cannons have invaded US-soil near Buffalo. These troops have made US citizens working these fields flee to the savety of the citywalls.
Is this a result of the confusion following the abdication of their Queen, or is King Case looking for on armed conflict?
The US calls upon the UK to withdraw its troops, and allow the people from Buffalo to resume their work on the places they just abondoned.
US troops are moving northward to protect the border.

The Cannons are there becuase they had a goto command set on them at the start of the scenario (something for Peregrine to fix methinks)

I tried to fix that. No idea where that command came from. Difficult to get rid of. I did get rid of some of those "goto" commands--there were more at one point. Good news; no one but the British have units w/goto commands at start.

Russian ships could not help but see Japanese cannon massing in Korea. Although we are rivals over the region, I have to remind you as a friendly nation that the cannons are not powerful enough to destroy Korean troops within Seoul's walls. I suggest you withdraw before you meet disaster! Only veteran ship bombardment of cities with no coastal batteries can be successful.

I think you could win in terms of attrition however. That is, assuming that Britain doesn't join as they didn't join in real history.

The glorious French Army with its powerful weapons of war has captured the cities of 'Fez' and 'Casablanca' in North Afrika[dance] [dance] . The natives in Fez suffered severe losses after a major bombardment from the French Colonial Cannons. But it seemed as if they where prepared for the invasion. They managed to climb up the Atlas mountains and shoot some of the troops defending the cannons. They came by surprise, but the French retaliation was hard. Civilians where raped and murdered. This is not a reputation The French Army wants, so the commanders where sent directly to the Fench Military Courth for some serious spanking

Further the city of 'Casablaca' fell to a Amphibious landing where the troops could easily march into the city. That was offcourse after a major bombardment from my Steam Warships.

The US is shocked by the behaviour of the French troops in Nortern Africa ! No punishment can be hard enough! We suggest inserting some cacti from Death Valley in some bodily openings. If France requests so, a shipment will be sent to Paris immediately.
The US is happy to see the French government has allready taken disciplinary action to the officers and soldiers.

Unfortunately the taxes imposed by the British King for traveling the straits between England and the continent, caused the merchants from Buffalo to forfeit their journey to London. Luckily the French are willing to take this freight, so the long trip will not have been made for no good. Will the British King never cease to harras the free people of the Union?
Will he continue to keep the citizens of our Northern cities to work their fields, whom have been expelled by brute force from British Canadian Cannons? US-Army batalions have been dispatched to oversee the return of the workers, and assure a firm border demarcation near Buffalo!

Pirates in the Carribean have been looting US merchant ships. So far the Senate has been reluctant to allow militairy action against these criminals. Recently though, the German ambassador has informed me of the war that broke out with Independent Allies on the European continent, and has asked the US government to do all in its power to put an end to criminal acts this Indepent Alliance commits all over the planet. Gentleman, give me the power to crush these lands, and let the US armed forces restore order in our backyard!!

Heavy fighting broke out in all of the Carribean and Mexico. US forces have captured Tampico and the Pirates nest of San Juan. A warship was sunk of the coast of Florida, and some forces were spotted entering US territory. The bulk of them was destroyed.
It is clear US forces are completely unprepared for any serious war. The Pirates sunk a Warship, an Ironclad and the Frigate that finally took san Juan is not more that a pile of floating rubble. It will be dismanteld in San Juan, since it is clearly beyond repair. This proves our navy does not stand a chance against the Pirates.
Mexican troops are not that tough, but the Cannons in the US army are clearly insufficient to penetrate Mexican city fortifications. It was only thanks to the navy that Tampico could be taken.
The chiefs of staff call upon Congress to improve training facilities, and to allocate recources to the development of new militairy techniques, or else surely the the US army and navy will be unable to reach their goals.

I want to remind all players that it is essential to press Ctrl-N at the end of your turn, and that it is not allowed to talk to other players AI, unless agreed upon by the other player, and then only to conduct exactly the agreed upon. All else is conciderd cheating.

Britain's muslim subjects have rejoiced at the news that the holy city of Mecca is now in British hands. It is understood that the holy shrines were only lightly damaged in the fighting, and will swiftly be repaired by British army engineers.

British merchant sailors have reported that the Strait of Gibraltar is blocked by foreign shipping. The British government requests that in future other nations take care to keep this vital seaway clear. [read: please don't let your ships end their turns in narrow seas]

but the Independent nations need to be able to build steam transports so that they can move their Raw Materials to other ports. If I give them the steam transports, they get the steam warships too.
I know that Gibraltar and environs is a choke point (as is the English Channel), but there aren't any larger maps!

Actually, one of the things I found surprising about this scenario is that you didn't use a larger map. Recently I've become accustomed to the gigamap used in Pap's giga version of 2194 days. It seems to me to be quite a bit bigger. Regardless, it wouldn't really be worth it to redo your whole scenario for a slightly bigger map. Also, this copy is full of a bunch of out-of-place swamps, since his scenario had Suburb and Industry terrains. I have no idea where he got it from and I haven't been able to get a hold of him, so I don't have a copy which is without those swamps and such. I wish I did know, I need it for a scenario of my own.
