new ships in navigation?we can see that frigates are already built in right top corner but navigation is stil reasrching??

Privateer, almost certainly. Note the black bowsprit sails.

It is a set up image; the units are just placed down on the terrain to give the right impression and show us the things that they want us to see.

It does look as if there are some new additions; I wonder if the third item listed under Navigation is a coastal fortress.

The first and third items are Frigate and Seaport, same as today. The second item is new, and is almost certainly the Privateer.

It's true that there are Frigates existing in the background, but these PR shots are almost all staged.

The icon for the unit on the map is for a Frigate, the icon in the tech screen is a Frigate. It seems likely that both are still Frigates.

He has not discovered navigation yet. How does he have privateers? Did he capture them perhaps? Weird!

The icon represents frigate, but not the ship itself. It has black bowsprit staysails.

I agree this screenshot is staged. They have been doing this all along.
