New 'short tips' thread?

I think a new 'Post short tips here' thread should be started in the Civ3 Strategy and Tips forum.
This ('stickied') thread was started in Nov 2001, is 28 pages long, and contains many 'tips' that are no longer possible because they were exploits possible in the 1.07f version of the game. Also many tips have been proven to be inaccurate/false.

Most of us more familiar with the game and forum, know to look at the dates on posts, and realize some things are no longer possible. But for new players, they may start reading on page 1, and seeing all these 'tips' that many of which will lead these players to make bad game play decisions.

I personally never looked all that much at the Short Tips thread, but I guess you're right.

Care to go a step farther? Perhaps we can create an online html archive of the valid tips.

Well, I don't know if you should go that far. But the FAQ and Newbie threads get re-started every once in a while, I think the short tips thread should get a new one after it's been up for a year and a half.

I agree Bamspeedy! There's probably loads of incorrect/outdated tips in the thread anyway...
