New Submission Process

Ths Moonsinger, i thought so. in fact it's just in case my submission didn't get through. so i can re-submit my game.
You can reformat anything, so you just have to save it some place

Hi all,
i've just submitted a game to the HoF. i've read all your posts and found out that the HoF is updated twice a month, right ?
should i copy the 4000BC start off into a different file so it won't get crushed by my new games ? I already got that problem : couldn't submit because the 4000BC file had already been written over
I hope my save gets on the HoF soon ! thanks to all those who take care of the website !

I normally save the 4000BC + all other files in a seperate directory for each HOF attempt along with an autosaves dir containing all of the autosaves. CRpMapStat (and I believe CivAssist II) can automatically archive the autosaves and compress them. You don't have to keep quite so many .savs, but personally I find it useful if I want to look back at what I did during a game.

I don't usually keep my saves, but this time i did a very high score and have submitted it to the HoF. and to my surprise, when i checked the status, the file has been excluded.
i'll try to find out why, and re-send it if possible.

I had no intention of submitting a HoF game, but I think my current 20k game will be a competitor for the middle ranks, time wise. I don't have any saves except the one I'm playing for, is there a way for me to get around not having my 4000bc game or am I just completely outta luck?

Are you sure you don't have it? If your 20k game is the last game you started, then you should have a 4000 BC autosave. And if not, go ahead and give another 20k game a shot if you have a natural talent for it. It's fun.

Woohoo! I guess I saved over one of my other games(didn't want to play that AW game anyways)

My earliest is a 730 BC save when I'm in anarchy from despotism to republic.

730bc? Ouch. Well, I won't rule it out now. When you finish the game, send in the 730bc, the turn after you win, and if you can up to three other files spread in between. We'll decide then.

Alright, that's fine. Worst comes to worse I just play a few more, they're not so bad to play, just a little time consuming(On huge maps, anyways.)
