New to FFH2

First off, Sorry if this post is in the wrong area feel free to move it.

I recently fixed my computer (kinda, it overheats so i took off the casing and put a fan on it) and installed my Civ4.

I starting looking for mods and found this and WOW i dont think il ever play regular Civ4 again.

Anyway, i have v0.20f and was wondering were can i find updates and patchs without having Civ: Beyond the Sword?

and about that, what is Beyond the Sword? is it worth getting?

So, to your questions.
there are no further updates to the vanilla version of FfH.
I´d highly recommend buying Beyond the Sword. shouldn´t be very expensive, it includes our scenario Age of Ice, which is more or less the prequel (in timeline/storywise) to this mod, where you will fight the god of winter as the Amurites. Further, you will have to have BtS to play the newest versions of FfH, which have a lot more features, much improved AI, more civs and a lot more fun. There has been more than a year of new development for the mod, since we abandoned the vanilla version and switched to BtS code base.

so when i see FfH 32 that is for BTS only?
im tryin to get FtH Mods but im not sure which are compatible with my version.
Is there a hard copy of BTS or do i have download it?

Yep, pretty much everything you'll see around this forum requires BTS, unless you go pretty far back. I'd recommend buying it, it's worth the money just for the FFH updates, in my opinion. I've actually had to buy two copies due to carelessly damaging my CD, and it's still totally worth it.

And yes, there are boxed copies around. You may not be able to actually find them on the shelf anymore, but I got mine from Amazon without any problems.

You can do it either way, find a boxed copy of BtS in stores or purchase it through steam. if you stay with vanilla the last version of FfH for normal Civ4 is 0.23c which you can download from this thread (http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=171398) but as others mentioned we stopped development on that over a year ago. The BtS version is a much better game.

If you do buy BtS, don't forget to download the newest patch (in-game, or from this site in a different forum) in order to play current version of FfH 2.

I wouldn't recommend patching it in-game, unless you're willing to wait for a real Ice Age.
