New unit: French Musketeer mid 17th C.

This is great, I'm going to replace the civ musketeer with this one until you fave the royal musketeer ready. I don't know what I will do with this one after that but it is to good not to put somewhere. Fantastic job, thanks

Sorry to bump, but i can answer :

The "King's house musketeers" ("mousquetaires de la maison du roi") are Elite often used as Shock troops, and they used horses for moving. They had no equivalent in this era.
Normal musketeers are, well, normal troops.

Just use the normal as standard french troop, and use the King's as Elite : 2 moves, better attack (shock troop), better defense (they are the royal guard). Maybe given by a wonder ?

This unit represent the standard musketeer unit: the Musquetaire du Roi is another unit I made and you can find it here: European Wars: the French mid 16th C - mid 18th C.

As for the second question I think it's better to obtain the unit by wonder, otherwise anyone prefer built an elite unit instead a normal unit.

And if we give +1hp to the normal one for simulate their bigger number ?

Ah: The Artificial Idiot DOES take HP into account when deciding what to build, as a simple AF/DF multiplier.

Best,

Oz
