New Unit Series: Heckler & Koch

:goodjob: Looks very good, fantastic camouflage design, have you already applied the sharpening tool?

I need russians, do you plan a russian Kalashnikov series, marines + paratroopers?

Hi John, Haven't seen you around for awhile. :) Are you looking for WW 2 or modern Russians?

BTW I just got my computer back up and running. I wiped my HDD clean after my virus protection came up with about 4 trojans which wouldn't allow me to delete them.

Some of the infections are on my main storage drive where ALL my files are. :( I'm afraid to plug it back into my computer with trojans on it. Anyone have any suggestions? If I can't access the drive then I'll need to start EVERYTHING all over from scratch. :( Fortunately I saved all my Poser prop purchases onto a DVD, however.

Hi Gary,

yes I was on holiday for a while, then I have installed a new computer, now I´m back to work on my mod. Beautiful, what you have done in the meantime!

To the russians, if you ask, I need both WWII AND Modern, but the main playtime of my mod is the modern era. I have seen you have a russian marine in your pipeline, looks great, similar to the Kriegsmarine.

To your virus, I had the same problem, try Kaspersky antivirus 2009, I think its the best.

I agree with JF on Kaspersky.

Can you ID where the trojans are, or are they rootkit? If the former (you're running ... XP?) you can boot in Safe mode and go in through the commasnd line function (the commands are essentially DOS :old: ) and manually kill them. PM me if you need any help in that department.

Best,

Oz

According to Bitdefender two of them are in the recyclers on my storage drive. I tried emptying the recyclers and deleting files but that didn't seem to get the job done. Not sure if they are rootkit. I know next to nothing about viruses. I just now had to look up the term rootkit.

When I purchased the Bitdefender I had actually seen a couple ratings on it where it beat Kaspersky overall.

That's why I mentioned deleting them via the command line.

You can go insane trying to compare anti-malware software. All I know is that Kaspersky is my fourth in 1 year and I'm finally satisfied.

Ad Aware by Lavasoft may be helpful as well. Try to google it, I'm only getting results in German. It's free, and I had some very successful malware kills with it.

OZ is correct unless you boot in safe mode and delete the files via the command line you cannot get rid of them. Also it is a lesson futility trying to say one anti-virus software is the best. Any of the top ones are more than usable ie Kaspersky, Bit Defender, Nod32.

Sorry to hear about your computer troubles. If it was up to me I would give every hacker and virus creator the chair, but that just may be my Texas blood in me

Have you tried AVG. worked for me when i had malware trouble, that and punching my wall

btw Great Unit!! :goodjob:

@ Goldfool: I'm happy that my unit is seeing some usage!

@ thetank4302: I just switched to AVG and an anti-malware program called Malwarebytes. They were recommmended to me by one of the PC Mech forums moderators. So far AVG is picking up everything and the kitchen sink, a lot of tracking cookies also in other words, even harmless ones placed on my computer by Civfanatics website.

What's wrong with you guys? The chair is far too quick. This Wisconsinite thinks there should be an extensive torture session.
