New User...Probably a Dumb Question

Hi,
I am unfamiliar with any Mac-specific trainers/cheats/etc. The editor isn't out just yet. There is a list of "cheats/exploits" on CivFanatics. It isn't super-great, but it is better than nothing. Oh, and a piece of advice that I use: get Map Making early and sell your maps throught the game. I love my little "map tax" as I call it.

The best 'trainer' that I know of is the Civ3 Academy on this site. I'd also suggest playing the MacTourney games and benefitting from the erudite reports of some of the other folks in this forum. This, and just reading play reports from the Succession Game, can be very insightful.

None of the published cheats for the PC work on my system, and most of the 'features' that inadvertantly gave an advantage to players have been corrected by version 1.21g.

The Mac Civ3 Editor is on its way [see voluminous threads elsewhere].

Beautiful, Sid!:) You always send me to my dictionary. As a teacher (I know, I should know the definition.), I have to say, "I love you, man!":goodjob:

Off-topic: Gosh, dojoboy, you made me blush. You folks in the dominant culture are so-oh articulate and refreshingly expressive. Us Anglo-Celts in the more recent former colonies still retain far too much British reserve. Y'see, we lack the ability to churn out world-class computer games like Civ3, so we resort to language games and use vocabulary as cultural capital.

:rotfl:

OT post, again: Sid, I took a quick peek at your profile. I'm intrigued by your occupation, "roving scholar." ;)

Also, I noticed we have the same birthday! [birthday bug]

OT once more: "shy and retiring outdoor educator with a penchant for metaphors" might also be accurate. 'Roving': the person, and the eye -- been married too many times. 'Scholar': life-long learner (comes from being married several times -- although I appreciated gfeier's wisdom on marriage recently; you sure learn a lot in this forum).
