I've been checking out this mod's forum, almost every day for a few months now, with the intent of playing in the future. I'am impressed with the constant updates. Gazebo... YOU'R A CHAMP! What a great service you provide us with.

Do you have a Job at the moment? If so you must be a busy person.

He works in a university as a respectable historian.

Respectable? Perhaps. More likely 'secretly working on papers and whatnot in my windowless office whilst plotting CP stuff.' :)

Summer break is currently in effect, so that's why I've been extra busy as of late. It ends soon, and updates will slow at that point.

I don't really think this deserves it's own thread, so I'll just stick it here.

If you have logistics (I hope thats the right name, the one where you get bonuses when your border expands), and find a ruin where you get border expansions, the bonus doesn't apply. Is this intentional, or an oversight?

Intentional. Only applies to 'natural' growth.

I'm not really sure if this is intentional or even if it is an isolated issue, mostly because I'm way too lazy to test it out. Anyways China's unique WLTKD doesn't work if your empire is unhappy.
I have no idea if WLTKD normally works when your empire is unhappy but I really don't see a reason why it shouldn't.

That's by design. It's always been that way (even before the CP/CBP).

Yes, but back then negative happiness automatically killed your growth, now that it doesn't it just feels like a weird choice as happiness and wltkd aren't related.

Negative happiness still hurts growth.
G

Sure, but not by nearly as much.

Anyways if you're not going to change this, could you at least make unhappy turns not consume WLTKD turns? Seems really harsh.

That gets complicated, and could be exploited (you could intentionally dip into unhappiness to store up WLTKD % bonuses), so no.

Well currently dipping into unhappiness completely wastes your WLTKD, isn't that just as bad?

No, because that's the downside of an unhappy empire. People don't celebrate WLTKD, even if they should. Because they're unhappy.
G

You don't think unhappy people are just as likely to celebrate getting the luxury the asked for as happy people? If anything unhappy people would be more likely to celebrate as that is actually a reason to celebrate.

Putting aside the philosophical debate about the sum of human happiness in a computer game, I think this is a balanceproblem. Dropping into unhappiness is already pretty harsh, but randomly dropping into unhappiness right after you consume a great merchant for example is way too harsh.

Aside from all this it is still up to you, but if you decide to keep it around, please update the WLTKD civpedia page to reflect that it won't work if you're unhappy as it isn't mentioned there at all.

This is what americans actually believe.

How to make WLTKD to not be wasteful:
1)WLTKD already negates all unhappiness in the city for the duration, but only in a happy empire.
2) So just make it so WLTKD would do this regardless of happiness, so GMs could be used to temporarily deal with unhappiness dips.

I like this. But this would be another exploit that AIs don't know.
