We're sorry to inform you that your copy of Civilization 4 will not be shipped tomorrow as previously expected, as our stock has not yet arrived into the country. Since learning of this situation earlier today, we have fought hard to secure the stock on time, but have now accepted that events are out of our direct control. We are disappointed that we are therefore unable on this occasion to provide you with day-one delivery - a service on which we pride ourselves.

To try and make it up to you, we have further reduced the price of Civilization to only NZ$79.95, a full $20.00 below the recommended retail price.

We expect our stock to arrive into New Zealand during the weekend, and your order will receive priority handling and will be shipped from our warehouse as soon as it arrives on Monday. Please accept our sincere apologies for this delay; as keen gamers ourselves, we understand the importance of day-one delivery and work hard to achieve this for you wherever possible. Well it's 9:20am Tuesday 2 November, and my Civ4 has just arrived by courier - it's just installing. I got it from Gamesman.co.nz.

Weird. Mine's been delayed too, but I need the money, and it also gives me another few days to decide whether I really want to risk it, considering it probably won't work (and will probably be the first game I've ever tried to install that won't, oddly enough).

I got a call from EB yesterday saying that it would be in stock today... so... Dunno what's going on there.

nope civ 4 is in stock at EB games today. I called this morning (11am NZT). I would also presume gamesman would have it as well

Yeah that's real weird. My sis just sent me a text saying she had it. Txt was along the lines of... "Nener nener... NENER! iv got civ 4. hehehehe " She got it from EB as well.

I would presume Australia would have a similar release date to New Zealand. I seldom see things in New Zealand come out before Australia to be honest. But, anything can happen

Very unlikely, like you say, that NZ has it before Oz. Hardly EVER happens.

You could always drive across town and get it (maybe call them first in case they sell out).
