Hi, I am a newbie modder trying to make small changes on my own game.

I am very fascinated by the terrain coloring you applied to this mod. The plains, grass, tundra, mountains, etc. have a very creamy bright effect (much prettier than the original game). How did you achieve this?

I think paint net is the best (dds compatibility out of the box and it's free and simple) or photoshop (requires dds plugins). You need to learn paint.net or ps basic instruments like coloring, open the desired dds image (like terrain.dds or water.dds) in paint and do color edit in 3 seconds.

You need program to uncompress FPK archive containing the dds image files and compress it back with edited dds and preserved file structure (FPK located in - for example in ,,Monngoose'' and as in any other mods - : Civ4\Beyond the Sword\Mods\MongooseMod\Assets, the name should be something like improvedterrain.fpk, depends on the mod)
