Doc...I don't know specifically which modpacks that SOTD uses, but if you go into the Creation and Customization section and then pick the Graphics Modpacks forum, you'll find a ton of stuff in there that can do the things you're looking for.

I personally use EvanCiv's pophead smileys which can be found at http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=10197. Not exactly the same as the smileys in that shot, but it does the same thing.

You can use any graphics mod you want in GOTM since they only change the look of the game and not the actual rules.

How do you make a resource avalaible to you. I've tried building roads and mines from them to a city but I still can't use them for som reason.

After you have linked the resource to your city by road, you must build a Colony ON the resource, sacrificing a Worker on the resource tile............OR, alternatively, the resource tile must be inside the city limits of one of your cities.

In other words you could build a new city on or near the resource tile.

graphic mods are allowed in the tournaments.

as for resrouces, build roads to them, connect them to all you cities. If the resource is inside your borders, then all you need is the road. If it's outside your borders, you need a worker to turn into a colony on top of it.

What is the best way to attach screen shots to posts? Do i have to alter the raw shot before I use it?

It must be less than 100KB to use the forum attachment feature (when you click on post reply, on the bottom). If not then you have to upload it to the uploads folder. On the bottom of every page there's a link - "Upload Files". Upload it, then:

When posting put "img" between brackets and the link: "http://civfanatics.net/uploads3/Filename" where "Filename" is the file. The brackets would go like [ img] and [ /img] without the spaces.

They're called avatars. You have to have 30 posts to be able to pick one from a gallery. When you get 300 you can upload your own personal one.

Actually, you don't have to have any posts to be able to pick one from a gallery.

When a unit is active there are some numbers right after the level of the unit...example:
Veteran (4/4) Pikeman (1.3.1/1)

What does the (4/4) mean?

That's how many hitpoints left / how many total hitpoints.

4/4 is a full-strength veteran. 1/5 is an almost dead elite.
