BOTM 65: Gutenberg and the Great Thinkers

I hope everyone had fun with this game. A lot of you managed 6-digit scores, which is really impressive, so I guess you were able to gain advantage from the Great Thinker's technological gifts. Congratulations to The-Hawk who in a very close competition for the medals just beat out urbis and zamint3, who get silver and bronze respectively. Spaceships don't take gold very often, so that was nicely done. Sushi, anyone?

Good job, everyone!:goodjob:

Oh yeah... Here is where everyone settled:

Well done Jastrow, The-Hawk, cas who all beat my space date, which at the time I thought was pretty good.

I always like seeing Space take gold.

I guess you didn't see the spoiler in the first post DS.

Wow, sossos flew around that map. Very impressive time! :goodjob:

Too bad zamint ran out of time, would have been interesting to see how high he would have gone. 400K?? Gold for sure...

Congrats on the gold :trophy:

Not sure how high I could have gone, I did try playing 10 more turns and was able to continue the growth of 3000 points per turn, spreading sushi to more cities but without any worker actions or mm.

I ended with 74 cities IIRC.

How long is the spaceship underway on epic? Did you found 40 cities in that timeframe? :goodjob:

Spaceship with one engine (as I lunched) is 18 turns... I am pretty sure that it is 15 with the second engine.

Looks like I should have gone for a one city diplo. :mischief:

Fun map. I only wish we'd started in Frenchie's capital so I could have tried one city conquest.

cas

That would have been embarrassing since it did not have ocean access.

It was probably close enough that forts could be built, at least by the time Astro is in

Is there a summary of all the 'thinkers' in the scenario?

I had a list including about a dozen that didn't make the cut. But it was on a post-it note, which I threw out about a week ago, thinking it would be no use for it any more. :crazyeye:

I could open the WB save and make a new list... but it could take me some days to find the time.
