Game number 155 of the classic game of the month series is brought to you by templar_x.

You will rule as Catherine the Great over the Russian Empire, who are Scientific and Expansionist and start the game with the knowledge of Pottery and Bronze Working

This is a Regent-level game, and this month we sponsor the Conquest victory condition. This means that you must eliminate all the AI civs. The Russian unique unit is the Cossack, a high performance replacement for the Cavalry.

I suppose picking the Hut with the Scout is a no-brainer. Whatever is revealed by this move will then influence further decisions. Most likely, at Regent, it doesn't get any better food-wise than this, so settle in place is probable. Build a few Scouts, a Granary, a smallish core and go get them a.s.a.p.
