COMBINED conquest and domination victory condition
The fastest way to win I see is to build The Great Lighthouse, research Chivalry and turn off research to use horse-> knight upgrade.
I did not assume that. I assumed that either con or dom could be chosen, both being the two really competitive victory conditions. It could mean extra playing time and it eliminates the choice of VC as a part of your tactics. On the good side it could make comparisons easier and perhaps underline more clearly who is the true 100th champ. I'm not saying no but I will have to think about it.Più Freddo;8904808 said:I assume that with "ConDom" we mean, that we are close (enough) to the domination limit on the turn before Conquest and pass that limit (population and territory) at the same time as we achieve conquest. The game will then record a Conquest victory, but the conditions for a domination victory will be fulfilled as well.
Do we agree on this?
I had such a clear picture of swordsmen sprinting into Carthage that I completely disregarded the possibility of a lonely start. However, by the time Writing is finished it should be clear whether there are other civs on our island or not.regarding strategy, this depends a lot on whether we are alone or have neighbors. if we´re alone, i think i´ll go MM first myself, and only then for Rep. no way i want to play Robinson Crusoe in such a game.

Practically, this will be achieved by having a few unsettled settlers around for the turn when one achieves conquest.
One UU is the Polynesian Raider (3-2-1) which looks like a Jaguar Warrior, can do Amphibious attacks, and is available with Map-Making. 2nd UU is the Polynesian Marine (5-2-1) which looks like a Berzerk, can do Amphibious attacks, and is available with Feudalism. Both had their Attack increased 1. Polynesian Trade is not available because PTW doesn't support civ 'flavors'.
