News: TSG113 Announcement!

I've been reading the small piety thread often lately and an intrigued, particularly because I don't emphasize religion enough in my games. I like the notion on a diplomatic religious victory, but am too attached to my game plan to stray. I've been playing a few test games under similar settings and starts this last week, and my first 100 turns seem doable.

Perhaps I will replay the game small piety afterward to accurately compare. Best of luck in your adventure, hopefully Attila, Shaka, or Denmark are not nearby!

Thanks!

I think it's a good opportunity for me to improve my religion spreading, and general influencing of the AI. I could never quite get the hang of these aspects of the game.

Also, the "stay low profile and keep the AI happy" strategy feels a lot more authentic to me for a diplo victory than just tech rushing Globalization and then buying all the city states :)

This looks like fun, would love to try it. But when I try to load it's telling me that I don't have the required DLC.

What is required for this? Sorry if it's posted somewhere else but I couldn't find it after a quick search.

--- Update: found it!

Welcome to CFC and Game of the Month! Please read the whole announcement as this is your first time here. You'll likely only need to read the whole thing once, but there is important information regarding these games that will help newcomers. It is listed in the Game Options section but I'll post it here for you.

Game Version: This game was created in Civ5 Brave New World version 1.0.3.279.
Game Requirements: Wonders of the Ancient World DLC, Gods and Kings expansion, Brave New World Expansion.

Thanks for checking us out. I hope you can play this one. I'm guessing you may not have Wonders of the Ancient World DLC.

Only the faith buildings and units get more expensive by era. Faith bought GP go up in price as you purchase them, but its independent of each other and the normal GP generation

Ah, so the "Long Count" Great Persons are all treated as faith purchases? That's no issue then, obviously I have not played as the Maya before. ;)

No. They are treated as Great Person Point purchases. They don't actually cost Great Person Points, but they increment the GPP counter for your next GP that is on that particular counter. So, for example, when you take a Grwat Artist from the Long Count, your next Great Artist will cost 100 more Grwat Artist points.
