I can play Wednesday morning sometime after 0930GMT (whenever Lucy decides to sleep). After that I can only play Monday or Tuesday am. Although I may be able to post, I won't be able to play turns again until 2nd Jan, by which time we would have had elections.

So, I will play Wednesday morning (GMT) unless Oct X says he is playing.

I believe we lost the settler because the horseman we bribed took the support away from the settler. Viborg didn't even have enough shields left to build anything, let alone support another unit!!!
 
Increasing Luxury to 30%

Notice how much more we're earning, and how many more science beakers we produce? Lux 30% makes it even better, not worse.

This resolves the Problem of Fort Anarchy, maintains the Celebration in Civvium uninterrupted, and resumes the celebrations in cities that may have dropped last year. Many small cities such as GG and YD will do well at Lux=30% - I don't think we'll ever go back. REGIA CIVITAS: AQUADUCT ASAP

Checked the savegame and noted a few things. What are all thoose crusaders+legion in Viborg waiting for? I believe the citizens of Hladir would like to invite them over for a party :) btw, do Viborg really need another phalanx?

Uppsala don't need the entertainer.

I strongly suggest buying the university in Elysium and then to start prebuilding for Isaac Newton's.

Caravan in Bedfont Lakes should be partially bought this or next turn.

Civvium should switch grassland worker to forest.

Fort Anarchy is starving. We need to give it the plains square currently worked by Hipsheim. And then some irrigation for both cities.

Reneaux is building knight, the warrior should be disbanded or support costs will kill production.

Regia Civitas, serf to roaded grassland.

Neuma is also starving, switch forest to river and irrigate. It won't need the temple right now anyway.


Generally we need to grow our cities. We need MUCH more irrigation. I also think we should do some more exploration.
 
Talar, I quite agree we have enough units in Viborg to make some headway. Legion, 3 Crusaders, wounded horse, Phx and Dip. The horse could heal quickly in Upps Barracks. If we had time, the Upps Crusader could rehome in Lindow Moss. Perhaps our General will post a plan.

I think we can leave the Elysium Univ build normal, then perhaps build a quick Dip while the Vans muster to build Isaac. Foreign trade will generate a nice flow of beakers shortly. Generally, I agree with your observations. The Ren Warrior disband is an interesting thought. Civvium, Fort Anarchy, Neuma I propose to resolve by either Celebration, or founding a city to remove the Settler Support drag.

Explore: one Caravel with Dip Captain heads West, another set heads West. Yes.
 
Settlers support the Celebration:

This plan provides for Irrigation and Roads at key cities. To resolve cities abused by settler support (BB Neuma Ren) we will found 3 new cities. To resolve Banana Bay and the loss of the Viborg Settler, the BB Settler will go found V3 immediately - then BB can grow to use the Fruit and Whale. To resolve Neuma (finish Temple), that settler is taking the Road to Upps, w new Hips Dip founding Lone Bison. Reneaux now supports 2 settlers. The DH and one Ren Settler are Irrigating for Ren, hopefully to WLTK pop to Size=6 shortly. The other Ren Settler will found HillMine shortly.

None @ RC: Irrigate Pure Green for RC where it stands.
  Then SE Plains I=Irrigate.
LN near GG: head to Civvium, charging, irrigate BFL-Civvium Road.

Dellham: Knight? 39/40 in 1, start Van, not Market.

We are building several specially chosen Markets. Our primary cities (after RC & Elysium) are Marl Downs, Civvium and Reneaux (Wine Mine). The next tier is TFalls, Mord and Castle Jayne, then Neuma, Monks Towne, Dellham and Legendary City. Markets: Marl Downs is in progress 30/50, and next regular start in Civvium, CJ, Reneaux. Perhaps Octavia should next build a Temple, but another Settler is sure tempting.

Please vote in the poll "Lux Vans Wonders 1000AD" which also has the Caravan Plan. Also please review "Plans w Jayne 1000AD" which covers nearly everything else.

It is not apparent to me what domestic matters need a vote. The Celebration is roaring. Most everything has been approved in prior turns. The 3 new cities V3, Lone Bison, HillMine have been discussed for a month, and we desparately need those 3 settlers to build a city: BB Neuma and Ren. The 3 new markets in Civvium CJ Reneaux, what other choices are there? The Trade Caravans are sll set to go, and there are enough others to build both Magellan and Isaac. I think we are ready to move tomorrow. Alternatives? Comments?

Havent been able to reach the forum for a bit so im relived only 1000ad has passed. Anyone plan to add the screenshots as i feel totally lost without them?
 
Jayne is going to move in about 18 hours -- perhaps she'll provide screen shots then. In the mean time, we have several polls. Indian Catapult to attack Lighthouse of Trondhiem perhaps? Preferences on Misc Builds? If you read enough of these threads, you'll see we have a large army of 5 units near the Vikings, about to add a couple more units. Celebrating nicely, then we'll pause and work: irrigate, trade, fight Vikings, land in India, you know.
 
Please do not disband the Indian Catapult if you bribe it. Send it to Monks Towne and rehome it there, to quickly unload LC. Looking at the other threads, we're changing Uppsala to Crusader rather than Catapult. That should end that controvery. So Upps will build a second Vet Crusader for the assault on the Lighthouse of Trondheim. And we'll have one Catapult to use someday when it becomes a Cannon, I guess.

Btw, I no longer thing we should disband any of our warriors. Even the extra one in Ebor ... will become a Pikeman guard for those islands NE of Boreum we are settling. The Celebration is magnifying our production, and our shield worries are over.

The LM Settler is irrigating for Uppsala, to bring that Iron online.

Regarding unhappiness, the "Invisible Hand" of Nemo has been guiding NUF for 4000 years, and we have no worries. True, some cities are guarded by units that are supported elsewhere. But all that is optimal for NUF, methinks. Anyone with specific questions regarding unit support, please address them to me.

I'll be in tomorrow morning, long enough for a brief report of Jayne's move. If anyone else would like to handle the map, please add city sites to it as best you recall. If anyone else would like to generate a long list of questions, like I did last turn, please do.
