After all it appears to be nice: Antioch for a nice price, Gordium too so we can start to settle near Gordium!
Trade is working out just fine: huge amounts of money received! :)
We've got lots of money, lots coming in each turn too so all that needs to be done now is find the other Spanish cities, their capitol and start the attack!

Nearly all changes above are required to prevent the collapse of our government. :( My Queen, the loss of Hanging Gardens has made our situation more critical. We are building Markets and Aquaducts in Legendary, Castle Jayne, Monks and TFalls that are of limited use   rather than an intense number of Engineers. We have only 22 Engineers and 6 in production.

I hope we build Bach and go to Democracy, rather than fiddle around with Statue of Liberty and Darwin right now. Corruption is vast, we fear the AI bribig our troops, and Democracy will likely quell unrest in many far away critical cities.

Anyone want to switch Monks Towne, Castle.Jayne and TFalls to Engineers?

Also, we have a HUGE army idling in Scandanavia. :lol:

iirc, RC should build it's dip next turn. 8 sacrificial vans await inside the city to build Bachs. I agree we should switch at the next oportunity.

I also agree on switching production to engineers to help build the Great NUF Railway. Then after build dragoons to ship to Persia and Spain.
 
I see Bach and Democracy are well supported by votes and posts. Let us hope that trend continues.

What happened to the Barb Knight we bribed near Marl Downs? The Duchess of Reneaux writes that she fears for her safety, and I agree with her. Time for Dragoon guards here and there. Hawkish, she asks why did our army sit idle in Scandanavia the past 100 years? She weeps the loss of her son and our Dragoons near Jarvik, and pleads that her loss not be without recompense. Many Dragoons have been lost and must be replaced, and many Riflemen sit idle.
 
Regarding switching to Engineers, these seem like possibilities:

Improvements to continue: Neuma Market of course, Marl.Downs & Reneaux Sewers, Octavia Temple in 7, Legendary Aquaduct PRB, Routskilde Courthouse (sw to Market?), Uppsala Market, many Scandanavian Temples.
Improvements with large investment, so continue to throw good resources after bad: Mordhiemia Market

Some units were shipped to Jorvik island for the 'Final Push' but perished in the Spanish Ambush. Others were sent to protect Jorvik and Birka. One unit was sent to explore surrounding islands. Other units wait in defense of Barbarians, and for further instruction from our General. And for boats currently building in the area.

I'm going to plan the Caravans later today. Someone needs to study the war unit situation. Since 6 Dragoons have been lost, that means several cities can support fresh troops. I've just checked Routskilde, which had supported a Drogoon. This seems like the time to march one of those Rifles, now in Mulled, over to Hips to rehome. There is a None Rifle in Birke that is available. Kaupang still has 3 Rifles, so you must have sent a different one to be supported by Birke.

The Dip guards seem ok everywhere but Scandanavia. Could someone please study Scandanavia? The Dip guards must be established, and we must again marshall forces by determining which cities anywhere can support war units, which existing units can be quickly rehomed in those, and where to build Dragoons to quickly rehome in the balance?

Also someone must check shipping. I see 2 Caravels near Lindholm, and no Udal Ferry. Rebuilding the Ferry in Banana Bay will work if we can rehome the BB Cannon on holiday in Trondheim. Better yet, let's rehome the new BB Caravel in Lone Bison, eh? If Caravels move 4 it can happily sail there via Udal.

Delhi demand: Silver Salt (/Silk!) ("Not Silk"), Madras same: Silver Silk & Dye. Lahore: Gems Dye (/Coal?). The Indians have deteriorated from Cordial to Receptive, and menace us at Indian Watcher, the SW Elysium island, and our mainland cities of Legendary City and Hipsheim.

Good flow of Foreign Trade Vans - 2 Silver in Indian Watcher.

We have 15 Vans (including 8 for Bach), and another 15 in production.

RC Silk near Delhi: Deliver to Madras Demand, and see if more Silk demand pops up in India again.
Hiding in REGIA CIVITAS: a Diplomat, Elysium Hides, Neuma Copper, FA Coal, Hips Coal, BFL Salt, Beast Salt, Penguin Silk, and LC unknown, 8 Vans.
Indian Watcher: RC Silver and Civvium Silver: deliver both.

That is all 15 :)

The Marl Downs Gems are valuable in two ways: Gems are as good as Gold, and it is from Marl Downs which needs a Route. Lets deliver Gems directly from Marl.Downs to India and kill two birds with the one stone -- Calcutta looks better than Lahore, and we can deliver quickly straight from a ship.

If Indian Silk demand is renewed, rehome the Hips Silk in RC and ship to India. Madras demands Dye, so rehome the Monks Dye in RC and ship to India.

That leaves the Ebor Silk. Shall we give Ebor a route? Or save it for another wonder such as Darwin or Status of Liberty? We all demand Silk(=base arrows): Elysium=81 RC=73 TFalls=14 and LC=17 are all good choices. The actual number of arrows at Max Trade is higher -- TFalls and LC are viable.

Comments on the above plans? Objections?

Domestic Trade routes are needed with focus cities, such as Reneaux. It can be more productive to rehome Vans from small cities into focus cities before delivering to Elysium or REGIA CIVITAS. The Reneaux routes are earning £7, Lindow Moss only £4 per turn. Further, Civvium now has its 3 Routes, earning £17 per turn, excellent, so no more Civ Routes seem needed.

Am I the only one bothered by the Indian encroachment? They are in our face. Catapult trained on Indian Watcher. Elephant and Knight sitting on Legendary City's Iron. Elephant fouling our plans to settle the island SW of Elysium.
Can we expel them all? Will that impact our ability to get maps of Spain? After delivery of one more Van outside Dehli, do we care how they react?
 
Is it size 1 or more? I can't see on the map. If it's a size one city, I think we should expel it asap, because if they sneak attack us, we might lose the city, if they refuse and declare war - we have an oppurtunity to destroy it before they can make a move. If it's size two or larger, I think we could risk losing one pop and a defender to deliver our caravans, and not ask them to move the catapult. If we're lucky, a catapult might not even take out a fortified RM, but are we willing to risk it?
