NFL Draft Thread

I dont know if the Jets have been taken...they could be interesting.

Trade up for a QB? Trade up for Bush to replace Martin? Take Ferguson? Trade down?

So many options.

Teams Available:
Buffalo
St. Louis
Baltimore
Atlanta
Minnesota
San Diego
Kansas City
Carolina
Tampa Bay
Seattle
Denver
Indianapilos

Then Oakland or Buffalo are the most intriguing teams left...

I'll get Oakland

I disagree, Denver is pretty interesting with 2 firsts this year (they get Washington's in the Jason Campbell trade). St.Louis can also go a lot of ways and some prospects may end up dropping that could make for interesting choices by the latter teams. And remember it is a 7 round draft!

Wait ChrTH is Cleveland!!!
We need to sort this out.

No he isn't, he picked Green Bay. Check out post #30 in this thread and you'll see it. I picked Cleveland in post #27.

I think you got slightly confused when transcribing that info back onto your post on the first page.

Not me....got things to do on Saturday.

Before we start, Own and Fetus4118 need to pick teams, then we need to assign any remaining teams. Also, we need to have the first round go at least past the super bowl, since that's when the draft order becomes finalized.

Deadline has already passed.
Fine we'll wait until at least Pro Bowl week.
I'll send a PM to Own and Fetus tommorow and see if they're still interested.
As of the remaining teams, we'll decide on them later this week.

Honestly, we could probably start the weekend of the super bowl, since it'll most likely take us some time too get through each round. I would suggest this: The Texans go on the clock Saturday Feb. 4th at noon (or whenever that morning Azale wants to announce his pick *cough*Bush*cough*). From that point each team starts picking. If we make it up too pick 31 before the super bowl has completed, we temporarily freeze the draft until after it's completion. Then we finish up the draft from there.

How long is the deadline?
Because they're is no way I can do this on weekdays.
Weekends are okay, but not good.

If we start the weekend of Feb. 4th and do one round a weekend, then we can have it done by the third weekend in march, well ahead of the actual draft.
Also, since I'm sure everyone has busy schedules, and they know they are going to be too busy to post when their pick comes up, once we get to within two or three picks of their they can post their top 3 and the top person on that list will be considered taken at their pick. To illustrate this more clearly, I'll show an example:

Situation: The Ravens (#13) are on the Clock and the Falcons GM (#15)knows that he isn't going to be around to post when his pick comes later. So he posts his top 3 players that are still available. Let's say 1. Michael Huff; 2. Tamba Hali; 3. Rodrique Wright. Then Baltimore makes it's pick in a little bit selecting Michael Huff. Philadelphia then takes Santonio Holmes. At that point Atlanta will automatically be considered to select Tamba Hali as he is the top player on their list.

Also, we will start a new thread for the actual mock draft with the first 7 posts reserved for each of the rounds and that'll be where people post their picks.

Dont be so sure Im taking Reggie Bush...Ive been watching every Texans game for 4 years, I know thier trouble spots...this is going to be a difficult decision :p
