Nickytootricky's Let's Play thread

The entire screen is not actually showing, for instance I can't see the Settler icon in the beginning.

Yes, making a Let's Play definitely hurts your attention to detail. You will get used to it over time, and a lot of your commentary will become second nature. Looking forward to a cultural victory, I may be doing one myself soon so I'd like to see one in action!

Cheers buddy! All parts are now up, hopefully. Yes, you're right about the left side. Must've screwed up the resolution, but I don't think it matters thaaat much.
Have also subscribed to yours. I have watched a few of your videos but not the full way through. Will do so as soon as I stop working 13 hour days!!!

True, if you were going to lose a side of the screen the left side is way less important than the right side!

And no worries on mine, they aren't going anywhere! I will definitely watch your whole first series eventually as I want to start going for cultural victories. I agree with what you said about science being a bit too easy, and I'm looking for a new dimension to my game.

Hey there nicky, that's some good work.

I'm probably never gonna record a LP ( ) because

1. I suck
2. I don't have the time
3. My eastern-european accent would get in the way

Cheers, stormtrooper!
1.I'm sure you don't suck that bad, and even if you do, makes for a fun LP!
2. That's what lazy, hungover Saturday/Sundays are for.
3. Eastern European accent? Haven't you heard Marbozir?

Yeah, the accents add culture!

Nicky, I did a bit of a rush job watching your last 10 or so parts as I was sniping out your tech order/ build order/ etc for a culture victory. I learned a lot. I will eventually go back and watch them in their entirety and I'm sure learn a lot more, but just wanted to say great work and thanks for posting it!

The only bit of feedback is your sound is very low, to the point I have to really shoot up my volume higher than my TV has ever been just to hear things normally. I then forget I have the volume that high and when I switch from my computer to my regular TV input or go to another Youtube video the high volume just about blows out my eardrums. Between this and watching Berg787 regularly, I am sure to lose my hearing in 6 months

Glad you liked it buddy, and you could pick up some tips.

Sorry about the sound. If I put my microphone right in front of me I can't see the screen so I have to kind of have to put it at the side....I've tried talking louder in the next LP. I'm wary of your eardrums...haha

Cheers, stormtrooper!

Marbozir is in a league of his own, you can't possibly compare me or anyone else to him, can you :D

I stopped having hangover weekends because I freelance over the weekend, yeah, one nice paying job apparently isn't enough <_<

Watching first part of the Iroquois game:

Nice job with the worker steals - my early scout got hammered into splintered bone fragments by the grunt army.

Your Russian road cut

A slightly useful tip: by default the hotkey "C" centers on the current unit. So if you are doing a long distance worker radar hitting "C" is usually easier than manually scrolling back to your radar operator. :)

Cheers, buddy! Ah, will try to use that "C" trick next time!

I was actually lucky to get not one but two workers in my first attempt. But then I experienced minor brain damage and forgot to save, so I had to restart, and managed to steal a grand total of 0 workers
