So, with the change to make workboats build pirate coves, I had what could be a fun idea for the game.

What if anyone's workboats can build a 'cove', with the same rules? The basic cove would give the normal +2 gold to the tile, but only the Lanun's coves actually upgrade?

Benefits:

1) Coastal squares become a bit less undesireable.

2) PIRATE ships have more things, on average, to pillage (This of course includes the lanun)

3) AI tweaks telling a civ how to use a 'cove' would be uniform for all civs.

I don't really know how the lanun building pirate coves, but they certainly shouldn't be named that for other civilizations.

Trade docks or something like that would be a more desirable option, and they should COST about 20 gold, so that you invest in them, and the workboat should disappear, and it should take 5 turns for it to build. The workboat cannot move until the Trade dock is done, so you'd have to protect it, too.

They'd look ugly spammed, maybe they could be built only in a NEW feature, 'Islands' - which look like several unit sized <1 tile islands. Maybe they could also be multi-domain... with the new feature check code, only certain units could enter afaik...

The main reason to play Lanun is that they pimp the sea UNLIKE any other civ.

yea they gotta be uber on the water, otherwise they cant defend themselves
