Nintendo REVOLUTION!

Backwards compatibility. All three of the next-gen systems will be backwards compatible. However, the Revolution takes this a step further in that games dating back in the NES, Super NES, and N64 eras can be downloaded onto the system. Now THAT is cool.

I'm assuming that you'll need a special adapter? I wonder if there'll be an adapter for the Gameboy, Gameboy Color, GBA...
(hey, I wonder if I flipped my NES over, and cut some plastic... could I play the famicom cartridges? :D).

Square-Enix. Final Fantasy is no longer exclusive to Sony this generation. The company announced support for the Xbox 360, and will bring that MMORPG Final Fantasy XI to the system. They will also heavily support the Revolution, as a Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles is in the works. While neither of these games will be as good as Final Fantasy XII, it does mean that Final Fantasy XIII will not necessarily be on the PS3.

That's good to know. Square and Enix finally return to Nintendo. Bad side is, they've merged. :( That means no more competition for interesting games. I'm just waiting to see Loto -- or Erdrick -- (Dragon Quest hero) riding a Chocobo... A note on Crystal Chronicles: They were based on the old FF games, which were very good for their time. Graphics aside, FF6 and DW4 top the list of my favorite games. There's something about 3D graphics that doesn't fit well with me... It can be done right, though, like Dragon Warrior 7. (I read a long time ago that DQ/DW8 might be multiplayer. I hope it isn't...)

EDIT: Seems it was released last year. It probably won't be translated until this year..

dragon warrior 7, best playstation game i ever played. It would be awesome to see a Dragon Warrior game for the revolution

I've played DQ5,6 (Japanese). They're good (haven't finished them yet), but I think 4 still wins out. I just like those old graphics and music for some reason.

The NES, SNES, and N64 games will be downloadable onto the Revolution. Gamecube games might also be downloadable, but the console will have the ability to simply play the GCN discs as well. If you want backwards compatibility for the old Gameboy games, get a Gameboy Advance SP. :)

The Micro isn't an Advance.

The Micro only plays GBA games, not older gameboy games. And the regular GBA doesn't have the frontlit screen, and it just doesn't look good. So the SP is the best. :)
