Hi everyone! Just wanted to ask some help to those who own the Nintendo Switch version of Civ 6

My wife and I are try to play the game via local multiplayer. Both our switches have the copy of the game and we can't seem to find each other's game, regardless on who's hosting.

A couple of troubleshooting things we tried:
Restarting the software
Power cycle of the Switch
Reconnected to same Wifi SSID
Both switches are updated to latest firmware

Hope someone there can help us out with this problem. Thanks in advance

Hey,

I have exactly the same problem as you. I tried to play the game with a friend, we both have a copy of the game, we have the latest firmware and tried both the same stuff like you but still we are not able to find each other in local multiplayer.

Have you anyhow solved the problem? Or does anyone know any solution to the problem?

Greetings and thanks in advance

We now figured out what probably was the reason for the local multiplayer problem.

First of all, we haven't had linked our Nintendo accounts with 2K. So we did this first. After that we still weren't able to play the game but just for fun tested if changing the languages to the same language for both of us would help. And that seems to really be a problem. We had one Switch on English system settings (which has the game in English then) and one in German. After switching to the same language we could finally play in local multiplayer.

Maybe this will help someone too.
