NO MANUAL! Is this a Canada thing?

I was excited to finally track down a game in the Toronto area this morning. Sitting in my car I cracked open the box and prepared to learn about this great game over my lunch hour.

Out fell a CD labelled "Rules". WHAT!?!?!?

No freakin printed rulebook?!?!? I gotta pop a disk in my computer and print a PDF file!

I LOVE the rulebook for Civ3, a little pocketsize one that I can take anywhere.

I don't see anyone else complaining about this so I am wondering if it is a Canada thing....because they don't want to include a French copy. Damn French!

Was it retail or special edition? Mine was retail and was purchased from EB in Cambridge. BIG THUMBS DOWN! If there are copies available with a rulebook I might have to take mine back and exchange...

I'm in London and got the Manual on CD. Strange.

I got both fold-out sheets, a quick start book, the manual on CD (It's ok, but now I can't read it while i'm on the can...) and the game.

Man that kinda sucks. I got a big ass manual. And not to mention there is nothing like sitting on the toilet with your fav new game manual....Especialy a big manual like that. Sory if I sound like im rubbing it in.

no manual for me either. got it at futureshop in ottawa.

i'm having so many problems with this game (video/sound stuttering, my geforce 4400 was awful slow with it..) and now no manual to boot. with a french tech tree.

fireaxis/take2....... fix this.

i got a spiral notebook style pocket sized manual in my copy that i bought on the 26th in new york city. god bless america for our hardcopy manuals. ironically, i bet the paper used in the manual came from canada

It looks like I got somewhat screwed.

I have the manual on CD (French and English), but no physical manual (except the Quick Guide).

London Ontario, northern section, Future Shop, the VERY last copy.

Yeah, picked up my regular edition copy yesterday and was VERY dissapointed to find the manual on CD. Will make me think twice about buying a Firaxis product next time.

I got my copy at Eb games in richmond Hill and got a big thick printed manual, a tech tree poster, 2 game cd's. One of the best parts of pc games is reading the manual..it gets you all excited. I would be cheezed if my manual can on a cd. Go back to the store and say I payed for a printed manual and I want one.
