I let a friend of mine play CIV2 in my portable and a very strange thing happened...
Can anyone explain to me why is that?!?

If you have studied the special pattern and know that there will be a special resource "under" a grassland square then you can only forest it for a spice or a pheasant until engineers let you transform it.

Hey, Portuguese, do you play Civ3 as well? You can mine grassland in Civ3.
Of course, this is just another stupidity of Civ3. When I drive through the countryside on a Sunday afternoon, I often see the miners out working in the farmland.Reforesting/irrigating the grassland/plains is certainly more realistic.

Well actually I meant why would you want to put a mine on the grassland anyway ( NOT forestation, but rather an actual mine on the grassland which is essentially impossible)

In CIV2, they were just "reusing" a command: "m" had no other meaning for grass (remember this was all once keyboard based).
