No Reveal Map Techs/Civics

[Brianstorm]

As much as I like the Fog of War in general, and not being able to see everything just because you saw it 2000 years ago is a really great addition that was on my wishlist, but I figured you'd eventually be able to have more of the "real" map available as you progressed through the game. I have no major problems but just looking to see what everyone else is thinking. Possible it's done for performance reasons as well?

If you launch a satellite you do get the whole map revealed.
