His majesté will magnanimously grant your request, once his bath has been done, supper served, and his concubine visited.

His Majesty's aide-de-chambre announces zat King Louis is tending to ze last of his duties. His concubine has proposed a game of L'isle des Mortes Vivants which must be attended to first.

His Majesty is please to receive treasures from his homeland, and also announces to ze other crowned heads of Europe zat our fleet is sailing to aid in ze bombardment of zose pesky unholy abominations known as ze Undead pirates.

Not sure what to do? The file I have is 711KB. Lanzelot what is your file size?

I'm using the biq file from June 04th, which is attached to post #232. I think this is the latest version we have. (Not sure whether you updated your dropbox with it already?!)

The latest PediaIcons.txt is in #224.

T015, Apr. 1657

The last Undead Boneman in the Slave Coast is now - ahem - "dead". (Or is it?!) English Line Infantry there will now go into a well-deserved leave. They have fougth hard lately.

The English Africa Fleet meanwhile continues bombarding some Dutch ships trapped in the harbour of Namibia.

In Lord Lindsay's Fleet at Coatthroat Island the spirit is rising on the news that the French Fleet will return and help in the fight. Also three new ships finally arrive as reinforcements, so the bombardment of Cutthroat Island is taken up with renewed vigor!

Reconnoissance for the French: there are two pirate ships and at least three Undead Warriors stationed in Cutthroat Island. The ships are badly damaged and will hopefully be sunk soon, when the finest Ship of the Line that England currently owns, is going to arrive at Cutthroat Island next month.

PS: apparently the PediaIcons.txt from #224 isn't the latest, as I wrote in #238 that I got a newer one from you with a fix for the French Musketeer. I removed the one from #224.

Here a .biq where the ability to build railroads has been removed from worker and pirate worker units. I hope that should put an end to this once and for all...
For some reason I don't see the file, could you send it to me or even all players? I think issues will occur beyond what we have if we are using different .biq files

His Majeste's admirals are pleased to announce zat bombardement of ze abominable pirate harbour at Cutthroat Island has been recommenced, and ze last two of zose ghastly ships piratique are almost sunk now.
Of course compensation for the lost 15 arrears of four gold per turn his Majesté has incurred shall be paid, non?

Also, perhaps an arrangement could be arrived at, His Majesté is asking ze King of Spain about zis… little piece of land north of Belize, east from Campeche, across the sea from San Antonio? It is a pain zat such a place should remain unsettled and zat pirates roam ze place. Of course His Majesté is merely consulting and not acknowledging any such thing as Spanish suzerainty over ze area, zis should be clear, but protocol dictates one should ask first.

T016, May, 1657:

Excellent, the arrival of French help at Cutthroat Island brings new hope. The English fleet red-lines 3 Pirates. Then the newly arrived Ship-of-the-Line takes good aim with its first broadside -- and misses :(
Oh well, what is to be expected of greenhorns on their first "real" mission.

The bombardment of Namibia continues as well, other than that there is nothing to report.

To the King of France: Spanish crown disapproves your plans for establishing french settlement on the designated spot, and ask you not to proceed with these plans.

Ze King of la France proposes some compenstion of a nature monetaire or ozzerwise, non?

A thousand coins of gold would suffice to compensate us for not establishing ourselves on ze Yucatan peninsula, Monsieur l'Espagnard. After all, we have no other base in such a place, and ze expense of escorting ships back and forth proves too heavy.

We await your reaction to our proposal, monsieur le Roi de Espagne.

Jun 1657, we have again bombarded zese filthy pirates undead. It is most strange zat ze Spanish have not sent ze Inquisition to deal with zem unholy abominations.

We haf also founded a new city upon ze Orinoco Riviera, for ze salutary effect of ze tropical heat and ze possible cultivation of coffee.

T017, June 1657:

The joint bombardment of Cutthroat Island by the French and English Expedition Force brings the first success: all units are red-lined, Marketplace destroyed, and then Queen Mary gets its second try -- and sinks a pirate ship! One more ship, and then we can start dealing with the land units...

Ship repair work in Namibia continues to be disrupted by English shells...

BTW: if Spain and France can't come to terms regarding the settlement of Yucatan, the English might consider settling it themselves... :D So better hurry up...
