I just bought Pirates and have installed it. Any way that I try to start the game(desktop icon, start menu, auto run) I get a message telling me that I need to insert disc two even when it's in. My computer is reading the disc in the drive but the game doesn't seem to be able to. Does anyone have any ideas?

I've tried disc one and it says insert disc two. It's all very circular. Hopefully tech support will reply one of these days.

Thanks for your help Rupert. The problem seems to be either the program or my PC. My computer meets all the requirments to play except for my cpu which is just under 1Ghz, though I don't see how that could be connected to a disc reading error.

BTW I have the 2k version not Atari.

Okay, I finally got a hold tech support and hopefully this works. Anyone who might encounter this problem with the 2K version might use this.

Create a new folder somewhere like your desktop.
Put in disc 1, go to My Computer, right click on the cd drive, click open or explore.
Select all the files then copy and paste them into the new folder.
Repeat with disc 2.
Run setup.exe through the new folder.

Hope this works.

Sounds like the "copy your Windows .cab files to your hard drive" trick.

Judging by the lack of further posts, I imagine it worked just fine, eh?
