Nomination's for gouvernor's

Well ,since we have at this moment a total of 5 city's ,it's time to ellect a gouvernor for the 2 province.
Gouvernor's are cabinet member's.They control 5 city's (1 province) ,the Domestic leader is the gouvernor of the first province.

Who want's to be Gouvernor?
-you must have CivIII
-preferably you can attend at the chat session's
-preferably you can take screenshot's

And within 2 day's we will have a vote.

My position for election:

If elected as governor of the second Province in our Glorious empire, I shall treat each city fairly and equally. I believe that each city is unique and must be dealt with seperately. Each time the game is played I shall post a seperate poll for each of the 5 cities of the province with a screenshot of the city view screen. I will have a poll which will have 5 seperate recommendations from myself and the cabinet ministers, followed by a sixth option "other". I ask all the citizens to post theirs views on the issue and specify their choice for what to build. If someone chooses "other" I ask they post what they want to build and why, the majority will decide, pending the approval of the cabinet.

I will also be very open to any suggestions, I will be bound by the will of the people, this is my position.

the people who were in SG's that i had to drop will hate me for this but i'll volunteer to help govern. this seems slighty less time consuming than several SG's at 1 time. and i'm at #civfanatics actively virtually all the time anyway.

I'm open for people to give me my opinions...... errrrr i mean suggestions! yeah suggestions!
i beleive that cities should be specialised whith 1 city becoming a major producer 1 a Cultural mecca and 1 buillding the millitary for the region etc. i will maintain this opinion untuils some1 else tells me to beleive otherwise.

i will listen to the commands of those who are senior to me, the president cabinet etc., i will also use the will of the people and compromise between the two of them. My own desires come last. if we war i shall make sure my cities are defended and set an adequate number of cities to help the war effort in every way possible. ANYTHING for the glory and honor of our nation. my failures are my fault, my successes are only to the glory of the nation. i vow to work hard if elected. i promise to support the groups that beleive as i do. i promise to support the Spice traders especially.

Which cities does the domestic leader govern? I have seen these cities decribed two ways - and the two descriptions could very well include different sets of cities!

1) The first five cities we build - our first province.

2) Our 'core' cities.

I think the intention was for the domestic leader to govern the capital and 4 adjacent (relatively corruption free) cities. If so these may not be the first five cities built!

Perhaps we should clarify our provinces and put them on a geographical basis. Now that we know a bit about the map we can do this. I think it would be easier on the governors and make the position more 'useful' if each governor's cities we're grouped together rather than spread around.

Section E: Department heads And Their Duties

Point 8: Domestic leader: make's decission's about settler allocation ,wonder building ,city queue's etc.Is the gouvernor of the first province.decide's on the Science/Lux/tax rate's.maintain's the budget of the nation.
Point 9: Governors: Elected by the people to control production in cities of their province.

Section H:Gouvernor's:

point 1: A gouvernor control's and decide's over 5 city's.
point 2: The Domestic leader is also the gouvernor over the first 5 city's. (the core city's)

Now, I believe that we shall have the provinces placed geographically so there isnt much confusion. The next province will begin in the southeast, so it wont be a problem for now. Im guessing it will probably snake north or further south after that.

I second the geographically based provinces.

This may mean that they will grow beyond 5 cities though, since moving a big city from one province to another just because we found a small harbor city closer by makes no sense.

Perhapy we can come up with province borders on the map as soon as all major cities for a certain area are built/planned, then stick to these borders? At most a province should then grow to 5 big + maybe 2 tiny cities so I gues this is OK even if we densebuild.

i think the geographically based provices are ok, so we will have the NW-province now. i think the next provinces would be in the south (lake) and east (america) then.

but i also think we should name the next governor in advance and also we should find names for the 1st and the 2nd, maybe even for the 3rd provice soon.

otherwise we will have to stop the gameplay on foundation of the next city to the south or east of fox nest till we have our decision.

if you look at the presidental thread, the newest screenshot, I think the second province should at this point be:

Khatovar, and civinator, they are geographically matched (the two new cities are civ & pherris) so we should discuss this, the president included as well as the moderator.

I think the second province should be: Shail, Pherris, Khatovar, Civ. & PDX.

Fox Nest and Eyr in the first (core) province. I expect we'll have new cities SE and SW of Fox Nest as well as one on the NW peninsula. these would be part of the core province.

Another province would be those American cities we will someday conquer.

Another between us and Rome.

Note that Shail, Pherris and Civ. can remain in the 'core' province until the other cities are built at which time the former cities would be transferred to the second province.

The quote above is from the constitution. It illustrates the ambiguity of that document. I take "core city's" to mean the capital and those cities adjacent to the capital - the cities with the lowest corruption and waste. These are not always the first cities built.

I am also unaware of the order in which our cities were built.

So, I know not which cities are in province two and it is already time to vote for a governor!

It also looks as though our next city will be built to the SE of Fox Nest and Civinator. If so, will it be geographically linked with whichever two cities are now in province two?
