This was faxed to me today...I don't vouch for the accuracy, but it is very eerie.

In the book of Centuries, Nostradamus wrote:

"In the year of the new century and nine months, from the sky will burn at 45 degrees. Fire approaches the great new city..."<br />"In the city of York there will be a great collapse, 2 twin brothers torn apart by chaos while the fortress falls, the great leader will succumb. the third big war will begin when the big city is burning..."

thats the third tiome ive heard it today, and the third variation. nostradamus was very vague in his predictions, and i dont think he said the city of york, he may not have said 45 degrees either, but, im not really sure. the other parts were definitly there though(at least in the other variations)

i heard the third war in the big city in all of them; as with twins of chaos(or, brothers torn apart by destruction, or something of that matter); one of them also told of the leader being safe form the destruction, and that he will step down. i dunno

i hope nostadamus was a moron who just made this stuff up to gain fame. but, ya never know

Give us a web link, jc011, for your quotes, especially the last one which is the significant one. I searched for an hour earlier and couldn't find your five line quote anywhere, or even anything closely resembling it. A weblink for the quote in Old French will do. I can find a 16th century French dictionary.

I have no doubt Nostradamus was a very remarkable man, gifted with great skills of psychology and insight in other matters. But I also have no doubt, that cataclysmic predictions like these, has different meanings for everyone who reads them. That's why they're so great. When you think you're reading a revelation, you are in fact reading your own state of mind.

I have extensively read up on Nostrodamus over the Past 5 years or so and have a few books regarding his prophecies including a full translation according to Erika Cheetham... One of his last entries was made referring to war to end all wars that will last for 70 years and in the end all life will be changed/destroyed/affected? and red rain will cover the earth (fallout) goes on depicting about the third anti-christ arising from the ash etc and great tests for all peoples... But It also talks of a light at the end when we will re-awaken 7 years from the end of this huge war... I will come back on tonight and give a more indepth reading and translation.<br />On another note, everything that Nostrodamus has ever mentioned or predicted has come into effect - Aside from two things... This huge, big war was meant to happen in March 1999 and he also got Hitler's name wrong - In calling him Hister... Which I count a minor slip-up if you ask me!

I think we should start to trace Henry the Lucky, born on January 21st 1981 in Le Mans. According to Nostradamus he will be the savior of Europe in the war against the Yellow Hordes (China?) and the islam.

Yesterday I decided to read the book again, and I'm happy to say that Nostradamus predicted WWIII for 1999.

I read the German version, and to be honest, I couldn't find the lines above. I decided to read the book from start to end so I would find it......<br />What it says about the Third Great War (that's how he calls it):

It will start in 1999 (by his calendar that is, 2001 for us)

First there'll be a conflict between France and England & US

The 'Yellow Hordes' (Chinese?) will help the Arabs in their war against the west. There will be two attacks: through the Middle-East to the Mediterrenean and through Russia. The last will be stopped by Russia in the Ural, the first will succeed. They will conquer the entire 'tail of Europe' (Spain, Italy, Greece) and there will be a lot of fighting on the Riviera. The deciding battle (in favor of Europe) will be the greatest ever, at Ulm (Germany) and near the Jura.

London and New York (the Great New City) will suffer the effects of the H-Bomb.

Europe will suffer from biological warfare (Europe will be invaded by 'worms')

The great leader will be Henry the Lucky, born in Le Mans, France. According to some Austrian guy in the 19th century, he is born on January 21st 1981 (on a wednesday when Earth and Air meet. Earth and Air are the two *sterrenbeeld* (you know, like cancer, gemini) meet)

Not nice........but at least we win.

I do not wish to offend anyone who believes in this, but, as with Horoscopes, it is what you read into it.

I feel that we should concentrate on the present and look to the future, and not look into the past for predictions to light our way.

a guy named nostradomus makes up a bunch of b.s, then some people read that stuff and get ideas, and boom, one every while, something nostradomus said comes true,

He predicted some things with ridiculously startling accuracy, and some not so... I don't know, I wish I knew his percentage of getting things right, or at least close even, but I doubt all but 2 is the answer...
