After loading the new update via steam I lost all my previous settings. Then when playing the game I could not right click on the adopt policy to disregard it. After picking all the policies I could for the time I could not continue the game because of this.:mad::mad::mad:

This is an intended patch change. If you start a new game there is an option to allow policy saving again but the default behavior is now that you must adopt new SPs immediately.

You can force the option on via the console to continue that game or start a new one. Unfortunately, the patch broke a lot of games which had been started pre-patch.

The same problem occured to me, except that i could have continue the game but no way as I was 5 turns away of biology and Industrial Era so that i could pick up the +5 production bonus per city. That really sucks. And that's also why I forgave a multiplayer game yesterday.

Look, it can't be intended. The guy can't choose any new policy as he have all of (available) them. He just can't continue his game, as the Enter key does not work anymore when choosing new policies.

How do you have access to the console? And what do you enter into it?

More and more, Civ5 is a fiasco.

Have Firaxis not fixed it? I thought the only issue here was not being able to continue your game after filling the SP trees, or filling all the ones that are currently available.

jimjones, what is the problem you're experiencing?
