Not a bug - game configuration saves now work differently.

I have long used advanced game set up to use specific random numbers, choose my civ, the number and leaders of my competitors and then save this for future use. After the last update when I create a configuration, reloading it results in nothing getting reloaded - my civ is reset to random, the random number generator is reset. The only things that appear to be saved are difficulty level, # of city states, map size - please help!

Apparently with the April patch there save configs no longer save map seeds or your leader. B'cos of leader pools now.

This used to be a very useful feature for modders, cos it was easy to test certain map seeds. just save config.
Now we've gotta save it manually.

Save Configs may be more useful in their current form for MP (multiplayer). IDK

OP is absolutely right = Advanced Settings system is now heavily broken.

I don't really like this change. Support for both save styles would be the proper solution.

thanks for reporting this. i just went nuts and reinstalled the entire game over this thinking my game had some issue. hope they fix it cause its very annoying to re-select all the civs.

Me too.

Some sort of AppOptions.txt setting to save game seeds would have been better.

I'm going to report this as a bug, it's a really terrible design change - I have no idea why anybody would think this is better?? Is it a multi-player thing???
