You know, this thread always makes me smile.

OK, so that's not a sufficient reason for making a post. Well, here is another one:

If you purposefully make him create a "Great In His Own Mind Work", the computer will forcefully strap you down and force you to watch his movies until you decide otherwise.

Balkan Empire
Yeah right!

Nice understatement. To add some game mechanics:

Balkan Empire (Not-so-useful civilization)
It needs starting techs, UU, UB, leader(s) and traits, but the most important:
After growing for 20-100 turns, the empire splits. Each city forms a new civilization. If you should manage to piece parts of your empire together again, this process will be repeated. Again and again and again ...
One leader could of course be Josip Broz Tito, but in the spirit of this thread, Slobodan Milošević may be a better choice.

Opera House (not-so-useful building)
Cost 500 :hammers:; requires Theatre, Drama and Music, but can't be built earlier than the Renaissance era.
Upkeep per turn 5:gold: from city, 10:gold: from civilization. Collapses if either of these is not forthcoming.
Provides 1:)

That actually seems like it could be useful if played right. With a big enough treasury, you can easily make more money than you invest, and with a large enough profit margin, you could quickly make at least 500:gold: to cover potential losses, plus additional profit for as long as it remains intact.

+5%:gold: will only work in the city the Investment Bank is build in. It's a building, not a Wonder.

Libertarian troll (not-so-useful settled specialist)
Must be running Free Market
Internet must be build by any civilization
Libertarian trolls will randomly appear in cities as settled specialists if the conditions are met.
Effects: -3:science: -1:culture: +1:mad:

When you switch from Free Market to State Property or Environmentalism all the Libertarian Trolls will explode in a colorful fireworks display (resulting in +1:) for 10 turns) and disappear.

Is that for or against the Free Market? I'm confused.

Libertarian = social policy
Free Market/State Property/(?)Environmentalism(?) = economic policy

I believe in Free Markets, but also in civil liberties. I don't think the two are incongruous. Also, Free Markets and totalitarian social policies can also exist, so neither are they incongruous and by reason, Free Market and libertarian is not synonymous.

Do you mean socialist trolls or capitalist trolls?
