I used to remember how wonders that provided happiness boost in the entire continent used to be so good in the previous Civ games. Maybe it is my illusion, but now in Civ4, almost nobody talks about Notre Dame. Even I don't build it in my games... in fact, I can't remember the last time I actually built this thing.
So what is it about this wonder that almost nobody talks about it anymore? Is it because it requires Engineering? Is it because its meager happiness bonus is not worth the hammers? Or is it something else?
I for one, find it awkward that this wonder is unlocked with Engineering. If my memory serves me correct, it used to be unlocked with Theology?
I for one, wish that perhaps the happiness bonus was +2 instead of just +1... maybe then, it might be worth the hammers? At least the Hanging Gardens is unlocked after Math... ugh!
