NotW XXX: Dark Radiance Game Thread

OOC: Okay, I believe I read through the entire thing now although I skimmed this page. Here aer my thoughts:

Tonight was the only night I was active. I gave Methos my pistol. That's what CCRunner recorded. I had hoped I could have done so at day but it seems like it counted as leaving my room at night. I can find no other explanation for triggering the microphone like that.

Vandal Warlord needs to bite the grass.

I instructed the vigilante to kill Nictel. I am now asking him to kill Sprig unless he hands over that stone.

Give me the stone if you must. It just needs out of the hands of a strength 6 innocent because if it can indeed convert, that's a really bad thing.

I want a pistol back. I can't really conjure up an opinion on the other items. I have to go to school in a minute, I'll be back in roughly 9 hrs to look through this more thoroughly.

IC:

The 1st Private is the first to Winston Hughes' body. She shakes it violently, tears running from her eyes, crying uncontrollably. "No! No! Don't die on me! Wake up! Wake up!"
She collapses across his body, mumbling; "Wake up! I love you! Come on!"
After sobbing like this for a moment, she turns around and looks at the others, any trace of selfcontrol obviously gone. "Who did this? WHO DID THIS? I'll kill you with my own hands if I have to!"
She fumbles in her belt for her pistol before remembering that it isn't there, then turns around and runs off, crying.

Vandal Warlord

You didn't answer any of my questions about who was in your inner circle. You have an obvious leak, and you haven't addressed it at all. Either do so, or I am done with you Diamondeye.

There isn't anyone left from his inner circle except me but even then I only got partial information day 2 and 3 and that was it. I tried to extract as much information from Winston as I could but when you know you are going to die...

The only one left from any of the information he provided is PaulussIII.

Unfortunately I have no idea who he sent what to, in fact according to night one investigation reslets he sent me it said he was suspicious of Winston and that winston had no ability.

This doesn't mean he didn't know or that he is guilty. But it does show the information he was sending his circle (or at least me) was incorrect as it was Winston that discovered Autolycus and used Diamondeye to reveal.

Whoever wants the stone can have it. Krill was meant to get it last night but alas. however we need to make sure this stone doesn't fall into Wolf hands. I propose that beefy take the stone since it will most likely heal him.

the question is do i belive a injured person is the one going around killing people. then the answer is no.

The reason, I shot one of the wolves in the face. Not glanced past its ear but in the face. Any normal person whould have been dead or majorly injured. Yet in the morning none was. I think it is quite possible that the baddies carry a stone like mine that protects them from injury.

Purely Hypothetical though.

I instructed the vigilante to kill Nictel. I am now asking him to kill Sprig unless he hands over that stone.

An empty threat and we both know it. But i have no problem handing the stone to whoever want it within reason.

That particular threat raises my eyebrows.

Why wouldn't you give away the stone now that it has healed you?

The 1st Private stays inside her own room, ignoring the angry and heated voices against her. They are outside reason's grasp and she has no means to convince them. Instead, from her chamber, a shrilling and beautiful tone is heard as she plays her violin with an until now unparalleled intensity. When she is finally done and has put the instrument back, she exits her room, a newfound calm on her face.

"I have told you what I know. I bet my life on The Lemon's guilt, and I was wrong. I cannot expect you to let me live. But I wish the best for all of you and I am afraid that it would be a waste of time to lynch me. I have suspiciouns of Choxorn as well as AskThePizzaGuy, and of course the silent Methos. I know you are not going to listen me as it stands now. How about you hand me the pistol and I'll shot myself here and now to prove my innocence and spare us time?"

OOC: Frozen, is this allowed?

It has come to my attention that a Flare Gun is also up for vote; vote for it in Blue.

@Diamondeye: If you can get a gun then I'll allow that.

Gah.

I wanted to know who you gave information to and when, Diamondeye; I didn't expect Sprig to answer for you. If only you'd be more cooperative instead of resigned to defeat. I haven't heard any real reasons for your suspicions on those you have accused, either; I'd have assumed with the information you've had access to all game with people working with you and trusting you that you'd have had more to say right about now. Your morale raising doesn't seem to even be working, I doubt it will harm us much if you were shot. It would still be better if we didn't have to injure anyone. If you deserve to be injured; you deserve to be dead. If you don't deserve to be injured, then damaging you doesn't help at all.

Maybe there is a way out of this. I hope we can use these items to our advantage somehow... but I wonder if there will be enough votes for any given item. many of them will be disappearing at this rate, will they not?

Anyway. I know that we won't miss Vandal Warlord, and I am strongly opposed to lurker victories. Shame I don't have a better lead than that.

(OOC: In Order to help Keep them in existence, I vote ALL ITEMS (except the papers) to myself. I don't really intend to win them, but we'll see. )

"Don't you realize what Diamondeye is doing? He asked us for the pistol a moment ago, and now he's claiming if we give it to him he'll shoot himself. He's clearly pining for extra strength, and is using this suicide ploy against us. I don't buy it one bit."

Personally, I think he's pining for the fjords.

And yeah, I vote ALL ITEMS (except the papers) to TheForestAuro. And, if he doesn't distribute one item to a person or in some reasonable fashion which facilitates their proper use, I vote we kill him next. No offense, TFA.

I'm nothing, make me something.

To answer to Beefy, you have apparently missed the three or four times when it has been pointed out that the acid kills were happening at the same rate prior to our arrival and after it. So no, we are not the ones killing the people. And to respond to rhawn's ability, I believe that was a lie told to get him a weapon.

Now to respond to ATPG: I have been thinking, and I will accuse

Beefy187.

Why? The kill of Stee on night three was odd. He wasn't going to be a threat to the Silent Ash, he has very minimal detective skills. The only way that kill makes sense, especially combined with the surrounding kills of some of the best detectives in here, or so I can tell.

Thus, the only way the kill makes sense is from a role-play perspective. Kill another person with a technical ability to keep the generator running, giving Beefy more technical items, enabling him to both fix the plane to get more innocents out, and secondly to make himself invaluable to the base as the only person who can keep it running at full strength.

Well that doesn't follow, because he hasn't been keeping it running, and others can use the same engineering tools to fix things. That doesn't mean he's innocent, just that such reasoning doesn't hold up. Maybe he wasn't thinking when he came up with that plan.

I'm also curious to know: has anyone, in the game, who has been injured, ever been able to perform a night action of any kind?

"That won't work. We'll still waste today if I have to wait for the vote tally to eventually recieve a weapon. I say you should give Love the gun.

Sprig, shoot me. You have a rifle."

After uttering these last words, the 1st Private sits down next to Winston Hughes' corpse, holding his hand tight, with closed eyes and biting her stiff underlip. "Do it. Shoot me. I've led us all astray and I don't deserve to live."

Alright, TFA you can have ALL ITEMS except the papers and the gun, better you getting them than they vanish. But don't assume that means I trust you.

Only ability I have is the generators. Engineering tool is what was probably needed to fix the plane, and I didn't know about that until the very end.

And with Stee dead, at most I can only work the generator in half the strength even if I am not injured.

Now my turn :D
Why are you agents here? And what bad stuff do you have planned?

Midday 6

It had been another emotional start to the day. The 1st Private realized that today might be the day she dies and as such she poured even more of her soul into playing her violin than she normally had these past few days. Additionally, the Chemist came forward with more Burning Oil, which she promptly lit to create some heat. Now it wasn't all that cold in the outpost at least, but it was still as dark as it was outside, which was fairly dark due to the giant snow storm that was still raging on outside.

The remaining survivors were still situated in the main room of the outpost when suddenly two shouts echoed across the room. Everyone gaped, aghast, as they saw both Methos and CCRunner, who had both been on the far side of the room, being attacked by two large figures. It was impossible to tell exactly who or what the attackers were from their distance partly due to the dim light, and partly due to a strange black haze that had seemed to have abruptly sprang up into the air, so everyone ran forward to help out the victims. As they did so they Methos go down as he was hit by acid spit straight from the mouth of his attacker. Before anything could be done, this attacker ran off into the darkness. However, over by CCRunner, a small cloud of white smoke sprang up that quickly grew larger by the second. It soon engulfed both combatants. There was cry of pain from CCRunner, and then two gunshots, and then all was quiet.

As the smoke settled, they saw that CCRunner was still standing, though he appeared to have a very large bite mark on his side. On the floor next to him lay his dead attacker: a hideous, large half-dog, half-lizard looking creature.

"What is that... that...," stammered one of the onlookers, "that thing!"

"That," began Agent Smoker CCRunner as he turned towards them, "is what is known as a basilisk."

Methos's body and room were searched and a single Pistol was all that was found. They concluded that:
Spoiler :
The Second In Command Methos was innocent!

CCRunner has been injured.

I really don't want to add yet another item, so instead, I will be replacing the Deck Of Playing Cards, which admittedly didn't have any gameplay effect, with the 2nd Pistol. I have left all votes for it in place. Adjust your votes accordingly. If you wish to get an extended period to do that, just ask.

Well I think we need to do something about the official papers. Give them to ME and I will give them to whoever really needs/wants them.

I'll also change my vote for the pistol and give it to Civgeneral, who knows why because I don't trust him to begin with but whatever. I don't trust TFA either but at this point I have been beaten down and I think we've collectively been beaten down and unless we start making this stuff REAL simple nothing is going to get done.

Now some OOC stuff.

Spoiler :
Diamondeye: 4 (Love, TheForestAuro, CCRunner, j65536d)
Vandal Warlord: 4 (askthepizzaguy, CivGeneral, Choxorn, Diamondeye)
Askthepizzaguy: 1 (sprig)
Stuck in Pi: 1 (Beefy187)
Beefy187: 1 (Stuck in Pi)

Now here, we have a problem. Guess what? There's at least one werewolf left, possibly more. Do you really think we're going to lynch one today? Or at all?

This above vote tally is more easy to manipulate than chewing gum. Even if we guessed correctly on either candidate, nothing is going to happen without more votes on the right one, and a margin of error (more than zero) is given.

This above tally is what is known as a guaranteed failure. You run the odds, and any intelligent werewolf team knows, the above tally leads to a wolf victory no matter what.

But what do we know or can guess is the likely scenario? The accusation on Vandal Warlord at least came from an innocent, me. () I don't know if the accusation on Diamondeye is in the interests of an innocent victory, or if it came from the innocent parties. I know the accusation on me is dead wrong (Sprig), and Beefy and Stuck in Pi voting for each other implies they aren't both werewolves on the same team. Sprig and I aren't on the same werewolf team. Vandal Warlord and (CivGeneral, Choxorn, Diamondeye and I) aren't on the same werewolf team. Diamondeye and (Love, TheForestAuro, CCRunner, j65536d) aren't on the same werewolf team.

I also see that Diamondeye is volunteering to be shot. This doesn't really help the innocent cause... and it is presumed that it won't help him if he is a wolf, but we don't know that.

One thing I know is that if Vandal Warlord were guilty, he'd be able to spare himself quite easily in the above tally because he's not even voting. But that's just it, he's not even voting, and that makes him a good default lynch. He's a dummy candidate. If there are compelling reasons to vote for someone else, though, let's go for it.

I'll give you a big hint: It's not me. And, of the two agents, I have to believe at least ONE of them is innocent, otherwise their team is screwed to start with, and they weren't the acid killers because that started happening before they got here. Work from there?
